Actually that quote is from James Marsters who played Spike on Whedon's shows "Buffy" and "Angel" not James Marsden. Because of the similarity in their names those two actors are always getting mixed up. Marsters was joking anyway. It would be like James MARSDEN saying that there better be a part in "Superman" for him because he's worked with Bryan Singer.
