The link goes to some one that worked out some of the makeup for the Preacher and they stated in it that it was likely to begin shooting soon over seas....Or atleast that's the way I took it. Or were you talking about the pictures lol.

Hey girls... my mom almost hanged my dog on the gate today... 
she didn't do it on purpose, it was an accident, but... at least he's okay ... 
I hope that Jimmy will be more handsome in the Preacher character ... the make up was cool of the character, but he is so ugly that make me shiver...

About the preacher, yeah... I agree with you... let's hope that we actually recognise Jimmy... because with this make up, it will be a little difficult ...

BRIEF HISTORY
Born in a family of religious psychos Jesse Custer was forced to become a preacher after his grandmother Marie murdered his parents. Although he tried to escape to get a life, he was captured by two maniacs at the service of the woman and he had to vanish from the earth and to leave his girlfriend Tulip without a word.
After a terrible punishment, he finally accepted his fate and started to preach in a small town named Annville, inTexas. No one paid real attention to his words and, in the middle of a crisis of faith, he became alcoholic to live on a daily basis.
One day, after being beaten to death by the local goons the previous night, he was preaching to a crowded church when he got merged to an errand entity named Genesis. Genesis was the spawn of the unholy mating of an angel of heaven and a demon of hell, and god had left heaven when it was born. Genesis had escaped from its prison and, as a result of its union with Jesse, the whole church burst and everyone inside but Jesse burnt to ashes. Jesse had been "blessed" with the gift of the Word: when he used a special tone, everybody had to do exactly as he said-.
Jesse was found by his ex-girlfriend Tulip and a very strange man named Cassidy, who took him out of the place. Although Tulip was mad at him for abandoning her some years before, she eventually understood his motivation and forgave him. Besides, Jesse became friend of Cassidy, who turned out to be a vampire, very quickly, for he seemed to be a friendly loyal guy.
Jesse picked enough glimpses of Genesis' thoughts inside his head to make the whole situation out. and decided to go after god to ask him for responsabilities. Awhile, in heaven, the scared angels sent someone after Genesis and its human host : the Saint of Killers. Besides, a secret powerful organization known as the Grial headed by Herr Starr was also after Jesse.
Eventually, everybody converged in the desert and a very desperate Starr decided to drop an atomic bomb over the place to destroy both Jesse and the Saint of Killers, who had decided to help him in order to get some information on his past. Neither the Saint nor Jesse were killed, but the preacher fell to a certain death from a helicopter in order to save Cassidy. He was awed to find out that god saved him, but, after a confrontation with the entity, he lost an eye and wandered only half alive through the desert. Jesse finally survived and tried to join Tulip and Cass, but he discovered that, believing him to be dead, they had become involved. Thus, he left without a word and decided to find god anyway. He spent some time in a small town named Salvation, where he discovered that his mother was not dead. After freeing the town from the opression of Odin Quincannon, he decided to recover his girlfriend and go on with his pursuit.
