Gackt! I'm getting horny from looking at these pics. I have not seen that one with Jimmy crossing his arms to the sides. He looks adorably funny.

Anyone got a bigger pic of this? I used to and accidently deleted it....

I capped my Heights DVD because someone had mentioned that Cyclops didn't have any shirtless scenes like Hugh Jackman, and I figured people shouldn't be deprived of shirtless JM.

I have a theory.

The wife and I were watching X-Men and X2 (back to back) the other night with friends, a dinner, couple of bottles of vino and DVDs kinda thing, when the whole 'Wolverine's a hunk' thing came up amongst the ladies.

Fair enough says I, I'm more than happy ogling Famke Janssen.

Then the wife says to her mate "Yeah, but Wolverines too dangerous, women fancy him but you wouldn't marry him would you" and gives my hand a squeeze in an allegedly supportive 'I prefare you my dearest honey-bunny' kinda way. The other ladies in the room nodded sagely.

So that makes me Cyclops then? All married men can be swiftly categorised by the single, universally recognised, lamest darn character in the Marvel Universe (well, okay, slight exaggeration, there was the likes of 'Maggot', 'Amphibius' and 'Strong Guy'). But we should see this as a compliment? Is this how the opposite sex sees us? Really? Truly?

They see us as Scott Summers, poster boy for 'goody-two-shoes', Xaviers apple polisher, the 'safe bet'? Scott Summers, the all round squeaky-clean self-righteous little middle manager who plays it clean and hasn't even got his own catch phrase?

What, my dear lady wife, in our long history together, would possibly make you think that I would think that being a school prefect and wearing shades indoors is 'cool'? An adamantium skeleton, now that’s cool.

I tried to draw a comparison by saying it was like "I got Jubilee when I was after Scarlet Witch", but she didn't really get the analogy.

By this blasé comparison of my spouse I somehow feel that marriage makes one less of a man and, while I love my wife dearly, I worry for a world were Logan could be considered a potential wife beater and the one eyed boy scout a 'catch'.

Ladies. I don't get it. I know on this thread it's fightin' talk. I see it's mainly the actor chappy who's getting the praise here but, coming from the obsessive world of comic fandom, I never thought I'd see a 'squisy' thread for Scotty. Sorry...

Scott: "What do you think we should call me? When I'm in costume, I mean."
Logan: "It ain't a costume, kid, it's a uniform. And how bout we call you 'that ridiculous polite Pollyanna who won't last a week.'"

I don't know why did you get this conclusion??? 'goody-two-shoes', Xaviers apple polisher, the 'safe bet'???A few women's opinions don't represent all women's opinions.......I am a girl, I always like Cyclops(Yes, the one in the Marvel world, Not just the one James played)and sorry, Wolvrine is definetly not my type, I never like him. So I like Cyclops, does that make me Jean? I don't think so, I don't like her either. Your only problem is, you don't like Scott, which is fine to me, just don't think that everyone has the same taste with you.......

No, it makes my wife Jean. Well, actually Emma, but that's a long story....

The point was an esoteric comparison regarding my spouses (and her friends) opinion that comparison to 'old-red-eye' was a compliment.

No, in truth, I don't particularly like Scott Summers. He lacks a certain something for me. He was always staying at home moaning that he couldn't love Jean due to his eyes and being all angst in the comics. The image has kinda stuck with me. I must concur that Wolverine, while monumentally weapons-grade cool, would certainly not be my choice for a dinner engagement either.

As you follow the comic books (where my grounding lies) I'm intrigued what makes you favour the character of Cylops over, lets say, Hank McCoy, Reme, Colossus, or any of the other fine gentlemen in the X-Men well worthy of a ladies affections? This is thread dedicated to the gentleman. What is it that women see in him, the character that is and not the actor? Why would being compared to him possibly be a compiment?

You don't get us chaps composing a 'Original Scarlet Witch Slurpy' thread, though it's a thought...

THANK YA!!!! That was me wanting some naked Cyke/Jimmy pics. He's so lickable!

I was just watching the Superman thing on A&E and they showed a scene of Jimmy and what's her face.

Holy Crap, it was some good stuff. He's a really good actor. I'm so flippin' excited for the movie.

They look hot together...

Bastila, your ava creeped me out!

thanks, triplefive

EDIT: that Jimmy/Singer vid is a riot.

If anyone's interested, Jimmy will be on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson!! It airs June 22nd at 11:30pm Central!!!

It looks like he'll have a nice role in the Superman movie.

Has this thread died? If Cyclops isn't dead, neither is this thread. Here's an avatar I made the other day:

Well the fact that you categorise Cyclops as a lame "boy scout" is as questionable as your wife's view of Wolverine as being too dangerous. You are both seeing things in black-and-white, ****e-Madonna way. Cyclops is disliked by a fair amount of fans. That is true, but did your wife really know that? Under all his overwhelming responsibility Cyclops is very much just an ordinary, down-to-Earth, blue-collar family man at heart. The kind of person most guys indeed are. An everyman, if you will.

And hey, who doesn't like the everyman? I'm more the type of girl to go for a "Cyclops man" than a "Wolverine man". They're just a nice type of guy :)
