I didn't say I wouldn't pay more then $10, I said it's a fair price. Movies are completely different.
but why is $10.00 a fair price??

Because that's what HE wants to pay for it.but why is $10.00 a fair price??
LOL
I know.
These weirdos are willing to pay more for one visit to McDonalds than for music that they can listen to and enjoy for the rest of their lives.
The reason it doesn't add up or make any sort of sense is that, they're wrong and dishonest.
It's like the old thing about, if you could turn invisible and were 100% guaranteed that you wouldn't get caught, would you:
The answer for most people is, Hell yes. It's not about what's right or wrong, it's about, "Will I get caught?!
- Rape a hot chick?
- Rob a bank?
- Kill someone?
"
It's like these jerks think music is so worthless that the only fair price for a CD is if it goes into the negative numbers, like they have to pay you $20 to listen to the hard won fruit of their labors.![]()
New-gen games are too expensive for me. I wish they came in bootlegs.
Give me an example of an older cd?
Hard Day's Night? $12.99
Led Zeppelin 1? $14.99
And you can always download music of Napster or iTunes for $0.99 if you don't want the whole album.
Sony and Microsoft started coding their games hardcore like to prevent piracy. I guess you will have to do without Socko....
This is where you come off as ignorant. Just because you dont like a specific brand of music doesn't mean it isnt valid or that there isnt a viable market for it. For the record I hate Carrie Underwood and anything associated with America Idol.
Well, it seems about 4 people the whole thread agree with you.
In this community on the Hype! you seem to be losing.
I'll say it again, the sense of entitlement in today's youth is astounding.
According to your point of view....and I pay my escorts for their services, thank you very much. But it is the artist and it is their work, you should be supportive of them regardless of what they charge because there is no third party (record label)....its like Wil said, you seem to be restricting your point of view to your little world that you live in. Like I posted previous, this whole thing does not affect me at all. If I want to pay 28 dollars for a Beatles double disc it isnt an issue for me. I just bought Halo 3 and bought The Orange Box about 2 weeks later.....I'm trying really hard to see it from the other side, but when the other side even refuses to acknowledge they are even breaking the law (whether its fair or not) makes it kind of tough for me to sympathize.

Ride the Lightning $15.97
Arise $17.98
Chaos $17.99
Demanufacture $18.98
All off Amazon.com. And I don't buy music online, I buy from the store.

You're right, It should be cheaper.
Is the file sharing between music illegal?
It's ridiculous. I can't afford $60 for every 360 game I want. They're smart to encode the games and all, DVDs should do something like that.
As for music, I've never bootlegged or even downloaded a single song in my life.![]()
according to the current law, Yes it is....
and that is your opinion....the millions of people that bought Halo 3 on its release day had no problem with it. myself included.
Yup! Kinda like the Warnings on movies. How they say it is to be solely used in your own home and not for distrubition. When it says distribution it from what I can remember doesn't mention $$ either. Just if you basically make copies for friends for free it's still illegal. To some that sucks but it's the current law.

it does now....it got updated in 2004 I believe...

Haven't heard the other two, but the ones in bold are damn good albums(me being more of a metal head). I do own them, and if I lost them or they got damaged, Yes! I would still pay the price to get them again. Is it a little too much for a C.D.? Yes, but im sure as **** not going to steal it thinking "Well I bought it the first time and someone stole it from me, so it's owed to me to have a new one for free"
I asked why you thought it was a fair price.....? what are you basing that price on? your current economic situation???
