The Beta will support Cross-Play, so PS3 and PS Vita owners will be able to fight with and against each other."

So it contains all the characters as the last beta with no new ones? Dissapointing but with such a small cast, I guess they dont want to release too much. When does the beta end anyway?

So Cole's alt is Kessler. I think they should have given that to Evil Cole and regular Cole's alt should have been the rejected redesign from Infamous 2.

If that's true, that you don't need PS+ to download the beta as soon as tomorrow if you have a Vita, then I don't have to wait a week for the beta.

I guess Sony felt that having a Vita is punishment enough they at the least made the Vita beta ready tomorrow without the added stipulation of that subscription.

More like not that many people have a Vita and they need as many Vita owners to use it so they can test the servers as well as Cross-play between the systems. Its not about throwing the Vita a bone. The PS3 has a MUCH larger install base and if this was open to any PS3 user right away, then the servers would most undoubtedly be overwhelmingly populated with PS3 players and thats not the main focus of what they need to test out here. They at least have a full week before it does become public to the rest to see how things work out between the Vita and the limited PS+ subscribers

downloaded the beta for the Vita today and I suck

I too am filled with suck but I am relieved to say that the game is a lot of fun.

Played as Sly: 1st place (played about 18 matches, all 1st place)
Played as Kratos: 2nd place every match except one (played exactly 8 matches)
Played as Radec: 2nd place once (never higher than second, played 5 matches)
Played as Sweet Tooth: Never higher than 3rd place (played 5 matches)
PaRappa: 3rd-4th place constantly (played 12 matches)
Fat Princess: One match, made it to 3x AP Overtime and the servers went down (did not do well myself).

So in conclusion...I...I'm playing with Sly

Okay I'm pretty in love with this game. My character is Radec, I think a lot of people underestimate him. His sniper move is really powerful and if you're in a straight line with the other players and have a Level 2 super no one even thinks to get out of your way

I played a few matches with Sly...and won...alot...wasn't even trying lol. I was kinda hoping to have some of my favorites as playable characters like Ratchet,Jak, or Sir Dan. But Sly seems really easy to use.

Starting to think Radec is really just overpowered anyways. Moving to Sly to try out something new.

Sly is soo cheap. Invisiblity, steals AP (not just gains it, he drains it), and spammable teleport, plus Super Jump and float.

so for those that played the beta, how have things improved? Is the sound/music better? Levels more interactive?

The two levels available have not changed. PaRappa has been nerfed since the demo. He doesn't build AP quickly with the Boxy Box. It looks better, more audio. Your AP meter now tells you how much AP your attacks gained you. Sly is overly broken.

I've gotten used to Radec, Sly and Fat Princess. I find Kratos is a bit too fiddly to handle and Sweet Tooth is utterly useless. I love this game.

I thought Kratos was the best player in the last beta. Him along with Fat Princess

I think Radec has to unquestionably be the best one in this beta, though as it's gone on, it's been harder to win by such a country mile. His sniper move can be done pretty much from anywhere on the map, knocks the recipient back miles and builds up an entire fifth of the special meter.

I suck at this game, as I do will all fighters, it is fun though, but I'm still now sure if it has the same charm that Smash Bros did.

I don't think it does, but I think it's honestly aiming for a different feel and achieves that in its own right.

There were questions about Sony's "Reload" commercial, and some speculated it was for this game. I think this new one confirms, if not, at least adds more to that theory.
