The Products' OFFICIAL Transformers Thread for us to ramble on and on about TFs

WOW thats a sick G1 collection......:wow:
It's not a collection really, it's his stock. You see he sells TF's. However his none G1 stuff is very limited. And his G1 prices aren't the best. For example he has a C8 Cyclonus with his gun for $80 USD.

Started to apply silver paint to Leader Megatron today....it's going on well but I may wait and get some spray primer tomorrow. I think that will help the application of the paint a bit better. After all, silver doesn't go over a lighter shade of silver very well.

Stinking Hasbro, why couldn't they have done the paint job right?

Oh, hey guys. I finished my collection.

I got 2008 Bumblebee, Arcee, and Thundercracker!

:D:D:D

I'm one step closer after aquiring Ironhide. Just need 70's Bee and the leaders. Then all the gotta haves, I'll have.

I know a few people have bought these here so I just thought I'd ask: Are the Revoltech Transformers any good? They look good in the pics but it's hard to tell sometimes. Also, I know Optimus & Megatron are already out but I've seen pics of Starscream & Rodimus online too. Are these out yet or not? :)

Oh...i saw some Power of the Allspark toys yesterday. I saw Cliffjumper, Autobot Camshaft (swindle repaint) and that S7 buggy. i really like the looks of the buggy...and right now he's a maybe.

I know exactly what I'm getting from the all psark stuff. The G1 style Voyager Prime repaint, Cliffjumper, and the Dreadwind repaint. And the scout Stormsurge.

the cliffjumper is cool...but idk....after all the hype from BB...i have no interest in a repaint.

I don't mind teh repaints if the deco is good. Cliffy's is good.

Has anyone else watched the new animated show? I watched about half before shutting it off...My thoughts...

This would have been a fine show if a few things were different. It started off pretty strong, with only a few things annoying me. First being Prime's voice. He sound young and fails to inspire the sense of leadership Prime has always been defined by. Making him young and inexperienced just didn't work for me. The other voices were okay, and the redesigns weren't all that bad. Bumblebee was a little annoying, but I was willing to let that go.

The Decepticons were quite impressive. I rather liked the look of Megatron and Starscream, and like both their voices. Starscream was extremely fun.

But then they all crash on Earth...and the whole show goes wrong. Having the Transformers in a robot-ridden future is an interesting idea, but all the human characters were very, very annoying. Spike is replaced with a hyperactive girl with an obnoxious shrilly voice. There's this cop that talks like he's in the movie "Fargo," and he sounds dumber than a post.

The show does make many nods at G1, which sort of makes it all the more heartbreaking. It had potential.

I watched it while I was half asleep one morning. Lemme tell ya, it was pretty messed up. That's some weird stuff to be influencing my semi-conscious state.

My thoughts? They're doing with transformers: animated what they did with armada. Take the current big trend in kids crap (i.e., pokemon for Armada) find a way to attach it to transformers (i.e., minicons), and put it out for enough seasons to sell a bunch of toys. They're taking the new trend to make every cartoon into an over-exaggerated anime-inspired pile of crap. Hell, I think Optimus's face looks more like a cat face than Optimus Prime.

I do like that they're using Black Arachnia though. That was cool. Where's rattrap???

Yeah, I'm not so hot on showing Optimus's face. Even in the movie it looked weird.

In all fairness, selling toys has always been what Transformers is about. The only difference between G1 and Beast Wars vs. every other TF cartoon, is that some magic seemed to work it's way in there.

Oh, and Blitzwing was kinda lame.

Well, fanboys will hate it, but secretly still watch it. It'll last 2-3 seasons, lots of toys will come out, TF fanboys will still hunt them like crazy, and then there will be a new TF franchise.

All I want is a damn Masterpiece Starscream. Why oh why must I have a Wal-Mart that is an utter piece of s#!t.

I'd sympathize. If Wal-Mart Canada took exclusives with any sort of regularity. Since they don't, I can't. I had to get hooked up with him by sto_vo_kor_2000. So worth it though. When I get my masterpiece Megatron (fingers crossed for soon), I'll do a photo shoot. :word:

In other news a fully coloured prototype of a Classics 2 figure was shown for the first time in the TFCC members mag. Onslaught baby!
TF19coverWEB.jpg

All my hopes are that he is a combiner. From what I've heard it's possible for none members to get it, but it will probably cost something insane like $30.

EDIT: Forgot to mention MP Screamer is now available on Wal-Mart.com.

Glad I could help you buddy.

Who's getting those new TFs coming out in January? The allspark power ones.

I'll for sure get First strike Optimus Prime (only G1 repaint I have any interest in), Cliffjumper and Overcast. Plus the scout Stormsurge. Maybe the premium leader Megs if it's mass retail like the premium Blackout and Ironhide are going to be. Might get Salvage (red Autobot Dropkick repaint)

Glad I could help you buddy.
As am I. :yay:

I saw them about 2 weeks ago but I really didnt like them all that much so its going to depend on wether or not I have extra money.
I like Incinerator the V-22 Osprey, and The Sector Seven buggy.

The local TRU already had them a few weeks ago. They went quick, but I didn't see anything I was overly impressed with.

I thought Transformers: Animated was really good, and I'll put my hand up now and say I'm a fan boy.
It just felt like they respected what had come before it and tried to make a fun show.

The reason all these shows now days have that anime look is because most kids seem to lap it up.
