I also just finished up the first wave of Animated toys by getting Bumblebee this afternoon. He's a nifty little guy, but I'm going to work on the way his stingers fold into his wrists to see if I can make them flip all the way in, because I don't really like how they're so obviously just hanging there when he's not using them.

I just noticed that Prowl's toy is the only one that I haven't felt the need to modify in any way.

I got Stockade and Landmine yesterday.

Stockade is a good toy, I give him a 9/10. My only regret is he has no weapons. But, from his profile, he's suppossed to be a strong arm type guy. Going around physically beating people. Good toy.

Landmine is amazing. He's got a good transformation, he's pretty articulated, and there's a lot you can do with him. He's detailed well too. I was surprised they did a non-movie toy like him this well. 10/10.

So from what I hear on the TFW2005 boards, animated double pack optimus and megs is out in TRU-UK.

I know I said I stay away form gimmick toys already... but the wait for anything animated is actually killing me.

I might run into town and get them now, I need to run in to work anyways, so... and it's 2 minutes away from work.

Takara has announced their Henkei versions of Thundercracker and Skywarp.

Both are online retailer exclusives and have production runs of like 2000 or 3000 pieces. And you need a Japanese address to ge them. Release date is september. I'm getting TC. For $75 shipped.

Thats not the issue.

The character of Thundercracker has be mass released plenty over the past few years.

There was a Thundercracker in the Machine Wars,Robot Masters,Armada,Cybertron and movie Toylines.

There were two Thundercrackers in the Titanium toyline.

They were all masse released.

The reason that has so many upset was that at Botcon 07 this classic seeker mold was used to make a Botcon exclusive version of Thundercracker.

Those's that payed for the figure were told that there would never be an other chance to buy a Classic's Thundercracker.

Botcon claims that their exclusives can never be released to the retail market.

But I've been saying for a long time that Botcon has no say over what Takara can do with the molds.

You mean them tiny little models for £4 that don't actually transform or move? Sorry, but I'm not including them in what I'm saying. No offence if you collect them, but I just think they're a waste of time and money. If I buy a transformer, I want it to transform.

I wouldn't mind a Sunstorm re-paint too, I'd rather not have the cone head (I'm not sure if it was ram-jet or dirge) re-paint and wait for an actual toy with a cone head, that is if they are brought into the show.

Yeah, I imagine we'll get some seeker repaints sometime, but I'm just trying to figure out what color scheme they'll give Thundercracker, since Animated Starscream is already blue and red. My best guess is that they'll give TC a very light blue along with his red, and hope for the best.

Even if you dont include the 3 inch Titanium or any of the non-transforming Thundercrackers theres still the Robot Master's Thundercracker that was released by Takara about 2 [or 3] years ago that was done to be the spitting image of the G1 Thundercracker.

No offence if you collect them, but I just think they're a waste of time and money. If I buy a transformer, I want it to transform.

Same here.Out of all the new characters they made useing old molds Sunstorm is my fav.

You'll note that Takara's Henkei TC is a dark blue, like the G1 toy. Botcon TC was light blue and more cartoon accurate. Which is what Takara was doing with the other Henkei's.

On a related note, I just finished watching the episode "A Fistful of Energon." If you've seen this, then you know about the less than subtle nod towards the Starscream repaints over the years. Damn I love this series.
