They only released the first six episodes to critics and this show is incredibly slow burn. Also SJW backlash plays a huge part in it as well despite the concessions that were already made to the material to appease these idiots.

A good portion of the initial negative press this show received directly criticized its gun violence comparing it to recent real world events essentially writing Frank off as an angry white power fantasy. It was disgusting and completely missed the point.

I immediately disregard any review that brings up the "angry white man" angle. Those reviewers obviously have an agenda and never would've given this property a chance either way.

They probably also were the kind who already were going to dislike the show because it wasn't their type.

Daredevil is filming now and Iron Fist is due to start sooner or later. I would guess it might be some months or close to a year when we might see this being filmed. Season 2 that is.

Honestly glad to hear it. Despite my issues with the first season, I'd like the show to continue because I love Bernthal as this character.

I honestly thought that Marvel weren't going to renew any shows on Netflix.

Also guess that this means Defenders was canceled. Really wanted to see an excuse to adapt Seven Capital Cities of Heaven with the Defenders freeing K'un-L'un from The Hand by fighting The Immortal Weapons. Basically Enter the Dragon in a snowy mountaintop environment in XinJiang Province (but filmed in the Catskill mountains in New York). Possibly also The Trust with the Defenders teaming up to fight The Hood who dethrones Kingpin and takes over New York's underworld. Or Shadowland where Daredevil goes bad and his friends try to save him. Sadly, I feel like that ship sailed just like the Disney Streaming Service killed all hope for Moon Knight to appear in the MCU.

Fantastic news. Series is right up there at the top for me, I loved it from beginning to end which is rare. Can't wait to see where they go with season 2, hoping they introduce Moon Knight and maybe see a cameo or 2. Kinda wanna see Frank interact with JJ or LC and even Iron Fist.

I wanna see Rachel Cole introduced in season 2. Frank hears about another vigilante murdering her victims and he investigates and meets up with Cole. I think she would be an interesting foil for Castle.

I think that is safe to assume now, given Marvel/Netflix renewed this show. I think this is smart. Disney wants to be a family brand, so keeping these more mature shows on Netflix allows it not to be confused with more family friendly Marvel fare. It's good business. I do wish we had a chance to get shows on Netflix for Moon Knight, Blade, and Ghost Rider, though

I think they realized that trying too hard to create a Defenders story when the script wasn't there was a disservice. The leaked photos from Luke Cage show team ups are still very viable. A Seven Capital Cities of Heaven story is very much an Iron Fist story and would fit there. Shadowland seems unlikely no matter what since they just did a Defenders Hand story, so I doubt they'd repeat that - especially since many of the elements of that story were incorporated into Defenders Season One with Elektra replacing the role of Matt.

The ship sailed for Moon Knight: A Netflix Original series, but maybe once this deal goes through, it can be a Hulu Original since they will own a higher percentage of Hulu? But I do agree, Moon Knight would have fit that Netflix section of the MCU well.

As for Defenders, I don't think we need another one. It was cool to see everyone together, but the Hand and the threats of the show were sort of weak. It is also possible they want to do Defenders after another Punisher season, also. But, I am inclined to think it was one and done, but we will still get crossovers amongst the Netflix characters.

I am glad we got this clarification

My only regret is that Marvel won't add more Defenders to the sandbox in all likelihood, lol. Moon Knight would fit like a glove on Netflix with these guys! Blade would also make an awesome Netflix show.

If only the Blu Rays would come out more quickly though!
