Two of the best RE games, imo...but I'd like something different.

Sold. Code Veronica was all sorts of badass, as was 4.

I wish they would remake part 2 with 4&5s engine (or whatever its called).

Hell yeah, Code Veronica was great, definately will be playing that. I agree that they should remake 2 with updated graphics

I might have liked RE4 if it wasn't called RE... Maybe market it as a side story. Code Veronica is all sorts of win though... no just remake RE2.

I agree, there was still a general sense of horror and isolation that was missing from RE5.

sounds cool, but i'd love some new features, trophies, costumes etc

still would love a re-do of 2

Resident Evil Revival Selection announced.

The title will feature both RE4 and RE:CV "remastered in HD" for the 360 and PS3.

I think I'll skip them

I really wish they had just called CV, RE4 bc it was the true RE4. Id have preferred RE4 to be a side story as well in terms of numbering

RE4 was more "RE"' than the 5th game.
IDA. RE4 felt like more of a side story. RE5 felt like a natural continuation of the original trilogy and CV.

CV was actually RE3, it was the true continuation from 2 but they wanted another numbered sequel on the playstation since CV was going to be a Dreamcast exclusive.

Yea I can see how 4 was more of a side story but 5 took the series completely out of the survival horror genre. 4 at least retained a few of those elements.

RE5 was more action than anything, there were very little times where you actually felt like you were in peril when you're playing. RE2 is still one of my favorites along with CV

At this point we're never going to get a REmake of RE2. It just makes too much sense for Capcom to do.

I wish Capcom would go ahead and re-release it with updated graphics. It would give newcomers to Resident Evil a good taste of what makes Resident Evil such a good franchise. Hell....they need to go ahead and bring back Onimusha as well

I don't care what they do, but they've got to keep the over the shoulder camera angle. I've been playing Code Veronica a bit lately, and how some people scream for that old style of gameplay is beyond me. I know that nostalgia is a ***** with rose colored glasses and all, but none of the old games compares to part 4 and 5. I'd say that they were better for their time, but I still would rather be able to see what I'm shooting at. I also like aiming. That's a nice thing to have in a game where you're shooting people. Crazy, I know.

I honestly feel like it's inevitable. Capcom reps have constantly remarked that they hear the fans' requests loud and clear. It's just a matter of fully committing to it when the time is right.

Skipping over 2 and 3 for an HD re-release could perhaps indicate they may want to leave that possibility open for a future remake.
