Capcom The Resident Evil Thread

Playing through the REmake HD on my PS4 and it's feeling like the first time I've ever played the game. I'm bumping into so much stuff I don't remember from the last time I played through. That one stair well with the crows scared the pants off me.

So PSN has RE4, RE5 Gold and RE6 Ultimate for sale for $7.80 each. I'm going to get RE4 and RE5 because I enjoy them but is RE6 worth getting?

Also they have Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 and Fables: Wolf Among us for $3.75 each if anyone was interested.

RE6 is worth it yes.

X-Box Arcade had a similar sale earlier this year.

And wish I had a SP to get the TellTale games.

If you like only good games, RE6 isn't worth it.

this is getting werid

i have an nivida shield with a bunch of emulators, i start playing banjo kazooie rare replay is announced, i'm on a play through of FF7 remake announced and about 3 weeks ago i did a speed run through res evil 2 and then hmmmm

my room mate is demanding i start playing the first metal gear lol

RE6 is a solid game, it has its flaws, and that one mission segment that personally strongly irks me, but it's playable and enjoyable.
Partner's AI in RE6 is certainly better than it is in RE5.

RE4 on the PSN is the HD remaster or original version?
It will be wrong if not the HD remaster.

RE4HD is just an upscaled, with slightly better resolution, port of the GC game.

Nothing about RE6 is fine.

yes it is. Its completely underrated and at $7.50 the Ultimate edition is more than worth getting

Here's a Lets Play of 0HD. Thing looks good

This. Avoid RE6 completely. I thought RE5 was a good game, but not the RE game I wanted as a fan. RE6 is just bad.
RE5 was good. But not what we wanted from the franchise indeed. RE6 is just broken. I'm still shocked how a big budget and pretty game like this can be so unplayable.

Resident Evil - 9/10
Resident Evil 2 - 10/10
Resident Evil 3 - 8/10
Resident Evil 4 - 10/10
Resident Evil 5 - 7/10
Resident Evil 6 - 5/10

No score for Code Veronica X?

I'd have to give that one a 8.5/10

It was fun for its time, but when I look back, I don't think it transitioned well from the PS1.

REmake deserves a 10/10
That's how CVX should've been, in my opinion.

I know no one seems to believe it, but once you really dig into RE6's gameplay and mechanics, it can be godlike. I mean, yeah, there's tons of other flaws that keep it from being as great as it could be, but there's such depth and smoothness to its combat system.

That alone doesn't help. The entire game is just a shoddy experience, through and through.
I've bought that game twice, tried loving it twice, and ended up selling it twice. They say three times a charm, but I doubt it with this.

You're right, that alone doesn't help, but I think it helps to elevate at least a little.

I think people need to accept RE6 for what it is instead of what its not. I think most of the negative perceptions come from twisting this around

The gameplay in RE6 was very polished and well done. The story and all the aesthetics bored the pants off of me. Couldn't get into it.

I didn't enjoy the gameplay to be honest. Compared to RE5 it felt loose and floaty to me. The controls were one of my biggest gripes.
