Yeah, I like that about the Joker. He doesn't have to make sense because his whole schtick is not making sense. That's why he's a great foil for Batman's uber-analytical personality. Detective work doesn't work too well on the Joker because he has no patterns. That's kind of the point of The Joker. At least when Grant writes him. He's crazy in such a way that he has no set personality, motives, or beliefs. He's completely lost in his own head, and everything about his character is subject to the slightest whim on his part. It's what's used to explain why he has, in the past, sometimes been a harmless prankster, sometimes been a thief motivated purely by greed, sometimes been a homicidal maniac motivated by sadism, sometimes been a gangster, sometimes been a serial killer, etc. So, it actually makes perfect sense for him to act completely differently in two different appearances.
Joker = overexposed, overused, and not nearly as interesting as some people think
I think he's fine when he's used as an agent of random chaos. Like that Gotham Central arc, "Soft Targets." The whole arc is about how a sniper appears in Gotham and just picks off random targets with no rhyme or reason, no patterns, nothing to track. No one ever knows where he'll strike next. Turns out it was the Joker and he just thought it'd be fun to shoot people with a high-powered rifle from various rooftops in Gotham. Forcing normal characters to react to that sort of mind-bending insanity makes for good stories.
First part isn't out yet.
Are they implying that Damian isn't Bruce's kid but a lab experiment?![]()

Know what I'm thinking? That Daimen's basically a host body composed of Talia/Bruce genetics. Compatible with Ras, and also ties him to Bats. Then they'd ALL be related.
Pervy, baby...t:
Agreed. Hell, I'm actually one of the Bruce/Talia supporters over Bruce/Selina, but I don't want him having a kid with either of them. And yes, everything Morrison's doing with Batman at the moment is very much tinged with Silver Age stylings. I much preferred DC's Modern Age or Bronze Age, I guess you could call it.I read the Batman and Son trade at Barnes and Noble the other day and I didn't really like any of it. The idea of a biological son is a bad one, in my opinion. And even then, it was poorly done. The whole thing seemed Silver Age-y in tone but Morrison-esque in subject matter, if that makes sense. And those two don't mesh very well. Detectice Comics is much better.
