Why not? I don't think they could really find any big 'celebrity' to fit the bill...

'AMH' is a a reasonable choice.

I just remembered that in "Knightfall" Batman calls the Riddler one of his greatest enemies. And nowadays he is regarded as a wimp :(

I don't know but I can definitely see Bruce not making a few friends at Wayne Enterprises, possibly in the weapons division....

I don't care what anyone says, Anthony Michael Hall is a dead ringer for the Riddler... even if it is announced he is playing someone else... lol

Agreed...

I agree here. When people talk about how Riddler should be a serial killer, it just doesn't feel right. Riddler strikes me as old-school, where he gets much more pleasure in outsmarting his foes than killing them.

In fact, I seem to remember a comic (don't know what it was) where The Riddler was watching a news bulletin disapprovingly, and said something like "What is this world coming too? The Joker's out there killing people, for God's sakes!"
LMAO!I have been laughing for about 5 minutes at your avatar! :woot:

But umm yeah...I dont want Riddler to be a Joker clone with a new outfit like he was in Batman Forever. Make him socially awkward, a weakling, but an evil genius...I like the "saw" riddler idea.

Socially awkward is good. I'd like him to be a cold and calculating genius, with a decent build. Nothing like in TLH or DV. More in line with TAS.

Agreed...

He just......doesn't look like the Riddler. I don't see it, guys. I'm sorry, but I just don't. I was thinking more of a lean guy. I think Cillian Murphy might have played a good Riddler.

Riddler should be as realistic as possible.

This is awesome.

Regardless, I wouldn't mind seeing the Riddler portrayed as a very smooth, very smug, and very detail-oriented sociopath. Not a blood-and-guts maniac like The Joker, but just someone so intensely detached and intellectual that he's become distant to the point of dismissing the relevance of humanity or life. The interesting thing to him is the problem, the idea, the solution. The human element is at best a variable, a flaw that must be factored in and dealt with.

Very neat, very clean. I could see a calm and controlled-looking man sitting behind a desk in a black suit with a black shirt and a green tie, carefully arranging the items on his desk and adjusting the tie pin he's wearing, which just happens to have the shape of a very familiar punctuation mark...

I actually always thought of this guy as the Riddler http://imdb.com/name/nm0507073/ but I could see AMH doing a good enough job.

Another question, what would the Riddler's profession be? I don't like the idea of someone who works for the mob, but I read an idea on here about him possibly being a fashion designer that I didn't mind too much. The thing I don't like about that is I want the Riddler to have a job where he has to be smart. I kinda liked the computer chip idea of "THE BATMAN", but it reminded me too much of "BATMAN FOREVER"

I've got a question. Why is it nowadays that almost every supervillian's origin involves some instance of childhood neglect?

It's the easy way out. Look at our court system in America. So many scumbag lawyers, worthy of death I might add. Always go for the legally insane angle to skip their client getting jail time. As always the morons always assume that if your insane and killed or raped a bunch of people its "always" because they were beaten or abused as a kid.:whatever: It's one of the biggest cop outs. Yeah, some people are truly messed up in the head for having a horrible childhood, but I'd say their in the minority.

if you ignore EVERYTHING about batman forever and try to ignore jim carrey's over the top-ness, they almost had the Riddler. iw oukd have changed many things but i like how he is regarded as a man who likes being in wayne's shadow. then when he is rejected he comes into his own. i also liked how he became super intelligent, just not how he becomes it or just how he played with his cane like he was in some sort of marching band...

First of all, I like the TAS Riddler the best, although a little less refinement and a little more neurosis would help.

Oh, and David Hyde Pierce was pretty much born to play the role.

You know who owuld be great at that role, some guy who was in a movie called American Psycho -his name escaped me at the moment

Never heard of him

he plays Dr Gregory House in the TV series "House"

if you've never heard of that, oh God, you're missing one of the best TV series of the decade, no joke.
