LMAO!!

so are they gonna show joker fall into a vat of acid OR some kinda chemical that makes him go insane in just the first 5-7 minutes?

That would be alright, this stuff about 7 minutes of footage or a prologue or knowing the backstory 6 mos. before the movie comes out...........seems like a bit too much.
i agree. again, using The Final Flight of the Osiris as an example, that 9 minute short was attached to Dreamcatcher, which was released March 2003. The Matrix Reloaded was released in May.

Six/seven months is a stretch. Just doesn't pass the smell test...not for a five or seven minute "trailer".

I can see most of this being true. However, I'll wait to have it confirmed from a more reliable and trusted site before I completely believe it.

Why, how much did it take for Nicholson to go mad?

Serious? I don't think its that kind of "origin" per se that they are going to show. I'm pretty sure Nolan and Co. have said there will be no "Joker origin story" in the movie at all.

Yeah that worked out well for Reloaded but too much too soon, and there is the possibility of a tank-o-rama like Revolutions.

Apparently The Dark Knight is still filming in the Battersea Power Station after last week’s shocking explosion. Here’s an update posted on SpoilerTV:

On the evening of Sunday 21st Oct a couple of dark blue SWAT vans with ‘City of Gotham Police Dept.’ written on the sides were parked on the site, and a dark blue helicopter (didn’t see any insignia) was flying low near the power station. This morning (Monday 22nd Oct) as I passed the area on the train again, the two SWAT vans were still in the same place, but a long white tent had now been erected nearby and there were quite a few cars on the site, so I guess some filming must have taken place at some point during the day as well.

Meanwhile, a German website Kino.de has a very good article about The Dark Knight. The site is in German, after I translate it with Yahoo here’s what I got:
  • Batman will go to Hongkong for some kind of “gangster hunting”, but the producer Chuck Roven won’t tell us why Batman travels to Hongkong.
  • The IMAX preview with I Am Legend is the first five minutes of the film.
  • “The whole thing is not ‘Joker Begins’, because we did not tell how the Joker became what he is”, says director Christopher Nolan. “During these five minutes it is shown how the joker of the small crook becomes the most-dreaded gangster of the city - it is more of a “The Rise of the Joker”
  • Batman’s new mask will have white lenses on the eyes when he turn on the Bat-sonar detection.

Awesomeeee

Pumpkins and possible fake articles. I need a beer.

i don't think that's what Revolutions' problem was. i think it's was a mix of the newness wearing off, the script sucking, and too much of the movie occurred outside of the Matrix.

Sounds like some good stuff.

Just like the other source that reported the 7 minute prologue, you guys should be questioning this or looking for more sources to support it...

the difference here is that this contains an item that's a direct quote from Nolan. true, it could be fabricated, but i doubt it.

Ahh the troll returns.

As I have said before, clearly Nolan has more thought put into his movies then Burton did. And as I see it, and can tell from some of the sides. If there is a Pre-DISFIGURED Joker he will ALWAYS have been crazy.

The worst thing Burton did with that film was make "Jack" a "normal" person well normal for a criminal. But he was not insane clearly in the begining of Burton's film. And thats what matters most, to me I can care less if they show how he becomes disfigured. To me its more important that the context of the character shows he has always been insane, and not a swim in chemicals will make him insane.

And to Gianakin how long did it take Jack N. to go crazy?

"Wendy......I'm home...."

Jack's always been crazy :woot:

I don't know about this news. I want to hear/read something a bit more concrete before I get excited. :)

How about, both directors did a good job? :whatever:

Both directors did a good job. But I think Nolan did a much better job. And yes Nolan from a lot of his work clearly puts more of the human aspect and character development more so then Burton in most his films. Not saying Burton is bad I love his work. But he clearly spends more time on the art of the film, and the look, more then the characters.

Heeeeere's Solidus!

Classic scene lol. Actually I just bought A Clockwork Orange, 2001, and The Shining special editions today. Have to sit down and have a movie day it seems.

"Little pigs....little pigs.......let me come in...."

Maybe so, but how does that mean more thought? It's just thought in different places.

because Burton didn't.
That's your opinion, not fact. So get off the high horse that internet anonymity puts you on and start acting like a respectable human being, OK?
