The Robin OYL Thread

What if she became evil and started a relationship with Hal Jordan?

I'm gonna go now and read Robin with the full intention of loving it. I'll come back later with my thoughts and probably some photoshopped pic to make y'all happier!:p:up:

Would those have been better than what is happening in Robin? Hell yeah. Would I have been happy with any of them, except for the "leave things as they were" option? F*** no. Every single one of those options (except the first) would have pissed me off to no end, but nothing could have been as bad as what actually happened.

The dieing in Infinite Crisis idea was probably the best one. Having Batgirl and Superboy attack the tower together. And have Alex Luthor blast Batgirl instead of Nightwing and have it kill her, then Batman would find her for the classic Crisis homage.

I disagree, I think Cassie dying would be far worse than her walking into the sunset like she did in her series.

Wow! Thast was quick. And painful. Sooooooo, are these Slade and Rose in disguise or am I supposed to believe that being a badass bounty hunter killer with a daughter that wants your approval the new fad? What's next? Nightwing/Todd goes "bad" and is contacted to "teach" Cassandra some more stuff (I guess reasing and writing, 'cause I doubt it'll be fighting). And then through poetry and moral laden kid story books Cassandra will defect back to the side of the angels? Sorry, it doesn't fly. It's literally a dodo when I saw that David Caine was CRYING!!!! The first part of the comic was pretty cool with how competent Tim has become but then the las half of the comic he got pwned badly. No, thank you.:(

Do you mean physically? If you mean physically, evil or not, Cassie should still kick the crap out of every hand-to-hand fighter out there.

I loved Tim's reasoning in the big fight at the end there. "Cassie can kick my ass in a thousand different ways... I know! I'll drop all of my training and fight like a complete newb! That'll get her for sure!"

Maybe his plan was to make it so that Cassie was too busy thinking "are you f***ing kidding me?" to fight back.

I'd much rather see Cassie die in some huge event like Infinite Crisis than become a villain.

She was quite possibly the greatest comic book character to come out of the nineties.

It might be interesting to see how Bruce reacts to evil Cass, but I doubt it will be anything exciting.

I'm willing to bet his response is, "seriously, who the f*** is writing this bulls***?"

I know he shouldn't stand a chance against Cass, but he heard when she pointed out his weak spot and he still got taken out like a chump. By ninjas.:o And don't give me that crap that they're LoA ninjas! What? He didn't have any room in his belt for any gadgets that he could use for the fight? He didn't have a remote for the mini-Bat-Copter? I know Tim's not Batman, but C'MON!! He did good on the first half of the mission because he had prep-time?

But I LOVE evil Cassandra. She's so badass she defeated a trio of Predators and the leader gave her an antique gun in the end as a trophy. That IS the reason why she's using an antique gun, right?:o:rolleyes:

Sadder thing was, it worked.:(

Cassie will not turn back ever but she will be quasi evil. Think about it batman has been defined in large part to his really good villians. Now the new batman (tim) is getting some of his own for the future.

I was cheekily implying that Bad-Cassie is not "really good".

Cassie will never be a good villain. She will always be a really f***ing awesome heroine. This Cassie is not real Cassie.

People of the world, Super Hero Hype, i would like to admit for the first time that i was wrong. last night i read issues 148-150 and althiugh i liked tims part, i was highly disapointed with "evil cassie". i guys were right, it was NOT the same cassie that i've read in Batgirl. my bad.

Kevin COMICBOY.

Thank you for seeing the light, ComicBoy.

Now if only TPTB could as well.....

Anybody else read # 152?

This definitely has taken a turn for the better, in my eyes. Tim seems to have met someone out of the costume that is sort of on his level. The new Captain Boomerang confrontation was a nice touch. And Robin finding something oozing with radioactivity in one of Joker's old hideouts.

The story is taking a much better direction now. And I'm anticipating the next issue. As long as they keep writing it like this I'll have no problem. However, I'm in the camp that didn't really care what happened with Batgirl, seeing I had no interest in the character what so ever before hand.

Well, what did everyone else think of the latest issue? Or did everyone drop the title except me? Heh. :O
