I think Im okay with Spoiler not being entirely retconned out. As long as Leslie's actions/inactions are erased. Maybe just have her die as Spoiler and not Robin inspite of medical attention. Jason's death was a big thing for Bruce, Stephanie dying was kinda like Kenny on SouthPark dying. You were waiting for it to happen. If she dies as Spoiler then Bruce still goes further into Bat-Dick mode and his OYL turn around still seems like a big change for the better, and the Robin mantle still has some respect.

For me, the entire Spoiler being taken under as Robin storyline should have been retconned out. Batman keeps saying he has contingency plans, but surely he should have guessed Steph's reaction to being denied the Robin mantle. He'd have marked her personality quirks by then and predicted she'd react a certain way to rejection. God knows he's handled enough kids to maturity, and he definitely knows the stakes that's being played to even risk her being under the Robin mantle.

I didn't read past War Games, but did Bruce even grieve for her? Did he find fault into what he had done this time round? If Spoiler's death didn't at least stir something in Bruce - then what did it take? Oh, having his memories erased by Zatanna... -_-;

I thought if he did feel guilty he was just covering it up with more brooding. I mean with Jason he was noticeably changed and then Tim came along deciding he needed a new Robin. Figured he was just trying to avoid that scenario.

I think theyre setting that up, and really dont mind, though she'll end up dead or heading the League of Assasins soon.
