Oh yeah and the whole Shazam thing.......uh I don't think so. Didn't we deal with that with Shaq when he played that genie? Or was that Kazaam? Who cares, close enough. That would be ******ed.

Is google incompatible with your computer?

Just messin with ya.

Thanks for the pics.

Based now on what I've seen, I'd say BA as well. But he's not entirely bad the Cap either. He looks more like BA though.

But that is the character. That's like making Superman abloe to shapeshift so his disguise works better. Shazam is supposed to be kiddy. He's almost a Superman parody. Sidekicks were created so kids could pretend they could be right there with the heroes. With Captain Marvel the kid IS the hero.

Yeah, if we're going for the rated G and PG audience then absolutely stick with the original. I thought this movie was gonna be for an older audience. But Rock doesn't mind doing kid movies, and he's looks like he's pretty good at it. Game Plan doesn't look half bad.

The way The Rock's acting career is going, it won't be long before we see him on dancing with the stars.

The Rock's acting career is going straight to number one. :whatever:
"The Game Plan was Dwayne [The Rock] Johnson second best start for a Rock vehicle after The Scorpion King ".
IMO, Shazam staring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Captain Marvel will be his third best vehicle. :oldrazz:

Here is what I hope, in my wildest pipe-dreams:
I hope that if Mr. Johnson plays Black Adam, that he doesn't play him as some variation of his usual screen persona, but instead really imbue him with the terrifying presence that the character of the comics can give off just by standing still.

Yes, when we first see him, it will be "The Rock." But very quickly, we should be able to look at him and go: "It's Black Adam. :wow: I need to get the hell out of here, cause that's Black Adam and he's gonna kill us!"

I think Mr. Johnson just might be able to do that. :D

Here's hoping

Black Adam.

And the Rock has surprised me. I expected him to be a craptacular actor considering his past with the WWE, but surprisingly he's turned out to be a rather decent action actor.

agreed with all you said.

I also think that The Rock playing Captain Marvel would make sense though. I mean Billy Batson pretty much transforms into the ultimate hero. Someone he idolizes. There's a reason Captain Marvel has such a close resemblance to Superman in the comics. I've always felt that the character was created to capitalize on the popularity of Superman (as well as the popularity of sidekicks at the time). The Rock is a well known action star so I think the kids out there would find it pretty cool to have the power to transform into The Rock of all people and have Superman's powers. That's the ultimate fantasy right there. They can market the hell out of that aspect if The Rock were to play Captain Marvel.

Plus I think The Rock would be the first bonafide action star to play a Superhero (with the exception of Wesley Snipes). Everybody else has pretty much been known for dramas and comedies.

^ Exactly what I've been trying too say. :woot:
How can you not sell that ideal?
Children out there pretending to be Billy Batson, whom have the power to transform into Captain “The Rock” Marvel?
I smell money an awful lot of money, “CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN’?”

This is a no-brainer. He should be BLACK ADAM!

Captain Marvel (shazam) should be played by Patrick Warburton

I'm really diggin' that. Especially that thick looking material which makes the shoulders look like they should (spandex was a definate no no).

Yeah Rock should be a Villain after Gridiorn Gang, Game Plan and Southland Tales.

As much as I like the Rock as an action actor and as much as I want him in this movie, that idea is just plain bad :csad:

Captain Marvel should look extremely white bread IMO like Brandon Molale and Patrick Warburton

Now all Segal needs to do is cast Brandon Molale as the Captain and maybe Shia LeBeouf as Billy Batson and this SHAZAM movie might have a chance of being good and entertaining. The Rock is actually a good choice for Black Adam and it's a good career move for the Rock to play a villain. Just as long as he doesn't ham it up though. Ugh....

no way, not Molale dude, there are better actors out there that looks better who deserves as much of a break as he does. and isnt Shia too old to be Billy?

Shia LaBeouf, as great a thespian as he is, can't even act young enough for Billy Batson anymore.
