Captain Marvel The Rotten Tomatoes/Critic's Reaction Thread

What happened there? I'm like 7 seasons behind GOT.
They threw a huge fit over the way a rape scene involving a big character was handled in the show's 5th season and vowed to quit watching over it. They accused the show of making it about another man instead of the victim when the other man was used so the scene wouldn't be gratuitous.

That was a mess I don't care to relive. :funny:

So, something terrible happened.....on a show that is notorious for having terrible things happen to people. Lol. Right.......

Why? This is pretty much the norm for MCU debut films.

It's fine, but people wanted more Avengers, Guardians, BP, Homecoming debut numbers. Strange is also in the 90's with a 7.3 avg.

My box office prediction isn't looking that great, but my RT rating prediction is looking much better. Mid 80's is a good number.

Cap 1 is at 80% and that is a movie I didn't care for my first viewing but I love it more each time I watch it. Ant-Man has 82% another movie I really enjoyed. I feel like I enjoyed those more than I did Homecoming and Strange. Spider-Man and Strange were really well portrayed characters by the actors but overall as the movie I wasn't as drawn in. They were just good to me.

The WW in BvS is not the same one in her own solo film. The entire character was retconned for the better.

No she wasn't. But that's another conversation for another place and time.

Understood, but obviously I'm talking about the critical consensus.

That being said, CM is on track to potentially blow by a lot of those films at the box office, which will also become part of the conversation in terms of what fans/GA prefer
