I dig the song, but if you wanted to replace it, theres always Honeybear by the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs. For some reason, that always reminded me of the Runaways.

Good choice, but Ill keep on searching :) I had to cut the song in half, becuse I wanted Mary J:s song and not Ludacris. But That kinda messed uo the video :/

Another thought: is it just a coincidence or not that every time we've seen a Runaway's dreams, they are dreaming about their parents?

- Victor had a nightmare some issues back about his "father" Ultron and losing control.
- In Molly's solo issue, he dreamt about her parents soothing her to sleep in happier times.
- Last issue, Nico had a nightmare about her mage parents claiming to have cheated death and throwing her faults in her face.
- And now in this preview, Karolina is dreaming about her own parents attacking her.

Naturally, while they may act all tough and such, it isn't surprising that their parents would still haunt them, either in waking moments with everyone assuming things about them due to their heritage (or mopping up the crime in LA left in the vacuum of the Pride), or could some threat be effecting their dreams? Could the Gibborum somehow be manipulating them? It's not uncommon for mages or demons to do things like that (Nightmare, anyone?). Or am I just grasping at straws?

No, that's a very good point. As I've said in my reviews in the past, Vaughn doesn't tend to put something in the book without it leading to some kind of pay off in the future. I mean, no one really believed me when I said that the new Pride could be made up of Alex's online buddies when I first noticed that kind of pattern, and you see that they did end up as the new Pride. With the frequency of the that happening like you pointed out, I'm sure that there's something going on with that. Don't know who or what, but it's not happening for no reason. Maybe since just about everyone but Chase is dreaming about their parents, they might be even more untrustworthy of him when his actions are exposed.

I just want the new issue to come out! Need new Runaways!

The video wasn't bad. The music was crap though. Redo it with something cooler and it would be pretty cool.

Video

Sorry for the roughness:yay:

I like it... a lot, actually, I think you picked a very good song for the crew, especially for a short montage like that.

Also, Wolverine has been the Mary Sue bad boy character for quite a while... I don't find him interesting any more at all... he's infallible. I mean, what was the last time Wolverine made a mistake? What was the last time Wolverine was outsmarted? Or outfought?

I've had to get used to Vaughan doing slow burn buildups which is why I came up with the dream thing. The solicts may imply that a threat is after the RUNAWAYS while Chase is doing his thing. Could the Gibborum be pitting them against each other to run up the middle? Considering the kids all pooched their deal with the original Pride it does seem fishy that they'd so eagerly deal with Chase. Alex tried to deal with 'em and we know how that ended. ;)

Hmm. So there was quite a bit of setup in this issue. I wonder how far down the line we're being setup.

I heard what happened in this issue, I give it a meh + 1.

#23 was okay. All middle issues suck though because they can't set the scene like first or offer a conclusion like the last. This issue was just build-up.

In my opinion anyone from Chase, Xavin and Victor have a chance of biting the dust next issue. It would be just like BKV to kill off Xavin just as he began to get likeable.

Who do you all think the 'big guns' that are being called in will be? The Loners?

Everyone else seems busy with the whole Cival War fiasco.

I'm starting to get the feeling the whole Nico/Victor thing isn't going to happen. She just doesn't seem to be as keen as he does.

He did have his badass moment this issue despite Chase quickly taking him out.

Also, did that cardboard ad piss anyone else off?

Chase giving Nico the other 2 code-phrases to shut Victor down is some serious long-term forshadowing.

Go ask Dread in any thread, he'll tell you how he feels.

Yes the cardboard ads piss me off!!

I thought this issue of Runaways was pretty decent. Chase is being stupid.

When Mollie yelled "Hurries!" I wanted to kill her as usual.

See, I've developed a way to kill Molly. I just have to decide if several years of prison, and possible death sentence, is worth it.

Don't kill Molly!

Princess Powerful will be the number one babe in comics one day...

If chase dies, that might as well be the end of the series. There are just too many unexplained things about him.

First of all , he just seems to know how things work. I'm talking about all things from the mechanical leap frog, to society, to Nico's staff of one. Despite his claims to stupidity he seems to just be able to figure things out. Like he's a natural born tinkerer or something like that. I'm hoping that it's not that simple, but there's quite a bit more to him than they've told us yet. I'd just like some confirmation.

He's so much superhero potential, and how he's got even more demons to battle. Good ****, just get him out of this bordem situation.
