If Boss Maroni is in TDK, who should be cast? or How would you play his role in TDK Tom? Wilkinson was great as Carmine "Roman" Falcone but I thought Falcone was based on The Godfather in TLH I was hoping they would get an Italian American actor to play Falcone anyway I hope Nolan casts Robert De Niro as Sal Maroni Least thay can give Falcone role to Maroni who will takeover from Carmine.

I dont care who is cast as long as its a good/decent actor with mobster chops under his belt. And I would like Maroni to have a more of a villain role in TDK than Falcone did in BB. kthxbye.

Hell, all of the Goodfellas would be perfect for Maroni. Ray Liotta, Robert Deniro, Joe Pesci, or Paul Sorvino.

James Gandolfini is another idea. Al Pacino.

Al Pacino comes to mind....if he's willing to do it....of course he was in Dick Tracy...so he'll do that kind of comic movie......the question is if he'd accept that sort of role....

Liotta sounds about good...

Gabriel Byrne. Amazing Irish actor from movies like The Usual Suspects, Miller's Crossing, The Man in the Iron Mask, Enemy of the State, Stigmata, End of Days, Spider, Ghost Ship, Shade, Assault on Precinct 13, and many more.

Nah to DeNiro...I originally wanted him for Falcone.

Pacino would be great.

He has the mustache but that's it.

Well, I don't know I've never seen "Deadwood" so that's the first time I've seen a picture of him. I just thought he looked alot like Powers Boothe a bit.

For some odd reason, I find that quite funny :woot:
... not to be totally off topic, I'll say I'd be okay with Ray Liotta.

Someone on here suggested Ciarian Hinds. He would be a solid choice as Sal "The Boss" Maroni. Ian McShane would rule as well!

Cobblepot?

As for maroni, i don't want some guy like DeNiro or Gandolfini who is so associated with Mob mosses it's cliche. Talk about gimmicky.

How about someone mentions an actor outside the box for once?

Liotta or Pacino, either one works well

Why? So what if it is gimmicky, but they've all made livings playing mobsters. Why give up on roles you're good at then do roles you're not good at. Besides, it'd be a great comeback if Pesci got picked or Liotta.

I'm going to suggest Ron Perlman.

In fact, any time there's a casting thread, that's my answer.
