I'm pretty sure The Perlman has evolved himself beyond tear ducts.

I did hear that they might have approached an Italian Canadian Actor named Emilio Salituro for the film, he's relatively an unknown, but has mainly played gangster type roles. If they do use the character of Maroni, hopefully they use an Italian actor. As much as i liked the Falcone in BB, i didn't buy him as an Italian.

i've actually been thinking about this. since Maroni is replacing Falcone (this is from WAY outta left field, but humor me), what if he's a relatively young Boss. not like in his 30s or anything like that, but reasonably younger than Tom Wilkinson's Falcone. Here are my top 3:

• Michael Imperioli- I agree, not my first choice, but he's relatively younger than Wilkinson's Falcone, and he has a good kind of edge to his character on the Sopranos.
• Stanley Tucci- don't know too much about his acting creds, but he's got a look that might work for "the Boss"
• Federico Castelluccio- another Sopranos alumnus. i really wish i watched more of the Sopranos. He's got a look that's pretty interesting for Maroni

I could've gone with Chazz Palminteri, James Gandolfini, or even John Travolta (he's out because he's already played a mob boss-type character, in The Punisher) anyway, that's my take on it

He would totally make sense if they are going for a younger mob boss type.

I also think that the mob boss should be a threat to Bruce Wayne more so than the Batman.

BOF will become like IMDB after the whole Dent casting bust. Kidding, of course. Or maybe not. Heh.

As for Liotta, I would like to see him as Maroni. Liotta is just cool as hell.
