You all are far more optimistic than I.

In general, practically everyone is, but still.

Baywatch became a worldwide phenomenon after moving to syndication from NBC, after they dumped it after one season.

syndication being the key word in that statement... TSCC has to survive two more years to get that (100 epis if I'm correct)

when the hell is john gonna get with cameron. it wouldnt have taken me this long :o

So pissed that they killed Derek off and worse he went out like a *****.

...against a nigh unstoppable killing machine.

I can understand some disdain for him not having this impacting, gung ho, cliche 'heroic' death, but he was far from portrayed like a *****. As badass as Derek was, he's still just a man. Mortals are fairly easy to kill. Most encounters/firefights with a Terminator should end in death for the party without the metal endoskeleton. He went out the same way a number of Resistance fighters went out; fighting the machines, trying to preserve (what's left of) the future.

I bought into Derek during the episode where he's passed out on the kitchen table after being shot and its flashing back to when he and his unit were caught and held in that busted house.....

I missed the broke down ghetto house from the first season....the one they were in this year was too nice

It was just so anti climatic. I just thought if they were going to kill him off, it would have been something more exciting. It's just very disappointing because he was such a great character.

Yeah, we get it. Hole yourself up and stick to the funny books if you can't handle life, kid. Doubt it was one of Derek's "clones".

I get you. It was out of nowhere, quick-hitting and abrupt. Not what'd you expect for a major character. I'm pissed about it, but, as I gave up hope for a renewal a while ago, there's only so much emphasis I can put on it. While not hitting you over the head with the character's importance, it does underscore he deadly nature of what's going on. Different, but I can gather the significance.

Good thing it's not life, but rather a TV show then, huh?

Me too. That house had more personality, and felt more like it was their real home. The season 2 house was a lot bigger and nicer, which is understandable seeing as they were only renting it, but it didn't quite seem like the kind of place the Connors would life. Their old house was a lot less conspicuous, whereas their season 2 house looked like the place where people with a lot of available cash would live. They've never really stated whether or not the Connors have any source of income ATM or if they're still living off of Derek's stolen diamonds, but either way it wouldn't hurt to be frugal with their resources...

Josh Friedman has no idea how to sell his show or doesn't want to. I hate it to when shows use the deaths of characters to artificially raise their ratings, but I guarantee that if they would've promoted last weeks eppy as one in which a major character dies the show would've fared better. And if there's one show that needs that right now it's Sarah Connor.

huh? no.....it should be very clear that that is not supposed to happen

that doesn't change the fact that it SHOULD happen. I mean suspension of disbelief only goes so far... especially when you're considering a teenager who doesn't get any very often... and a superhot robot that follows orders.

he's literally the moron killing this show.

Were the show to get renwed, I think the simplest way to bring back Derek would be for the Derek of Jesse's skewed timeline to come back. Remember, it's been established that the reason Derek doesn't remember being tortured and experimented on the way Jesse remembered is because their timelines changed after they met and fell in love. At least that's how I understood it. Granted, if a different Derek came back, he'd probably come back as an enemy, given his experiences. He'd be even less trusting of Cameron, and would probably want to get John away from her and Sarah every chance he got.

Bringing Derek back as a villain would be worse than killing him off in the first place was.

if the show gets renewed, this is where I'd want it to go:

-CamRon becomes the villain
-John Henry becomes the protector of John

I think that could work very well IMO (that is of course if John Henry and CamRon aren't one and the same)

But they totally set it up when John and Derek talked about how long they would last against Cameron if she turned.

He was a great character, and I like the idea of him being placed in the same Potters Field as his brother. But without threat of demise, there is really no threat. As least Derek getting taken out so quick shows that anyone short of Sarah and John can be taken down in seconds fighting the machines.

In Season 3...

John Henry and Camron get it on.
