The Sarah Connor Chronicles

The show itself is not dependent upon the record sales of the winners. It only needs to have good ratings like any other TV show.

I wish it were dependent upon the winners. It would have faded away a long time ago.

That is what i don't get, who the hell eats up this garbage?

between 20-25 million viewers on Monday and Tuesday nights??

odds are someone you know watches it...talk to them....tell them to stop

I've tried. My friend refuses. She stubbornly chooses to believe that there is some form of merit in American Idol, but really I know she just likes hearing all the '80s and '90s songs rehashed by newbs and seeing Simon crush their hopes and dreams.

Scoop: Fox set to terminate 'Sarah Connor Chronicles'

Resist the urge to nuke the messenger, but multiple sources are telling me that Fox will not be renewing Terminator: The Summer Glau Sarah Connor Chronicles for a third season.

"It's done," maintains a source close to the show. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Adds a network insider: "Consider it canceled."

The one bright spot? Despite horrific ratings, Fox isn't ready to declare SCC dead and buried -- at least not officially. "No decision has been made yet," insists a network rep. "We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18."

Rough translation: It won't be back.

Oh, I just thought of one other bright spot: At least the show went out on top creatively. Last Friday's finale was an action-packed, closure-filled triumph. The only thing left unresolved is what Summer Glau will do for an encore. I'm thinking 24 should hire her as next season's Big Bad.

:csad:

^ Doesn't sound too promising. I'll wait for official word though before, I go :csad:...

Well if ET says its all but gone, might as well count it as gone.

Great, just what I needed.

Another tv series I invested some time in to be cut down before reaching a proper conclusion. :whatever:

I knew I shouldn't have bought season 1 on blu-ray. :cmad:

WTF??? That last episode confused the holy hell out of me and left me wanting more and now it might be canceled? Worst day ever man!

Ash Edward Miller (the co-producer of TSCC) recently wrote this on Twitter in response to Aussiello's cancellation story (sorry I don't have a link):

"Remember when he was reporting this before Season 2? And the middle of Season 2?"

The show is at risk, sure, but nothing is final yet. Fox said that they're going to be evaluating the show for renewal until may, when they'll make their decision and announce it. Nothing is set in stone until May though.

I hope so, we need a 3rd season.

I am, however, relieved that the show is over and we can put it behind us. I lost a lot of sleep because of T:TSCC :p lol. I can get back to my normal routine. hehe. With enough free time, I can focus a bit on my writing and stuff. Like the cast, yeah, I feel the same way they are feeling.

I look forward to Lena's, Thomas's and Summer's future projects. It'll be an interesting year. So far it has been. lol.

Here's co-producer Ash Miller's Twitter comments about the latest cancellation rumor, by the way:

If you have time, search on all his SCC scoops. Post them. Should make for amusing reading.

Time for Ausiello's semi-annual SCC termination report. False again. (Remember "sets were destroyed" report? Now you know context, people).

Scrubs
Cops
Law and Order: SVU
Law and Order: Criminal Intent

Scrubs - airing its final season on ABC

Cops - has been airing on Fox for almost 2 decades now....airs in syndication on various other channels

Law and Order: SVU still airs its episodes on NBC with heavy syndication on USA and other channels

Law and Order: CI moved from network to cable...not network to network

All this back-and-forth confusion over whether it's canceled or not has a way of making me not really give a s*** either way. If it gets a third season I'll probably watch it. If not, oh well. Better shows have been canceled without even getting a second season, so TSCC's had a solid run in my book.

I'm really hoping for a third season...it's one of the only shows I actually watch!

I just got the soundtrack for this show yesterday. Bear McCreary makes some really good stuff, both in this and on Battlestar Galactica. It's always refreshing when a TV show has a solid soundtrack.

Atleast it got a better coclusion than the Las Vegas series...

Sorry to run off the rails a bit here - Love your avatar Bane.

How did Las Vegas conclude? Or did it simply not?

Closure-filled? Did we watch the same episode? Is that like saying "Valentine for the fans"?

^ My thoughts exactly. This episode was meant to spur the fanbase into campaigning for a third season. Josh Friedman said so himself. This wasn't a cliffhanger ending-- it was an ending where a character fell off of the cliff, and ended up in an alternate timeline that we won't get to explore until the third season!

I'm sure Fox is weighing all options.....Im sure they are trying to determine what kind of backlash would occur from the fans if it was to be cancelled....people mailing spare parts or something to the Fox offices??

It took CBS a bit to deal with all those nuts from the Jericho fiasco
