The Sarah Connor Chronicles

sooo... John Connor is now a nobody in the end? Having skipped past judgment day, he's just some kid in the future and Kyle Reese is the leader of the resistance? Are they saying Connor is pointless, and it doesn't matter if he was killed in the past because the next in line will just step into his place? Kind of makes the whole franchise's premise a bit irrelevant.

Should've just had John realize this, then blow his brains out. Now THAT would've been a conclusion :hehe:

No doubt they planned to continue with a new season, where he eventually travels back in time to seconds after leaving (Back to the Future-ish) and the true timeline of him being the leader is restored. but if the show gets canceled...... that's it.

I don't know what to think, ha.

Besides being an opportunity for a third season, I got the impression that John Connor would still end up as the "great leader" of the war. That's why he became so much more leader like towards the end.

Is Dyson son evil? I was just wondering because I think he joined the bad guys.

What is up with John Henry now? Im confused.

Whats up with Cameron at the end with John Henry? Im confused with "will you join me? "(Camerons part?)

Why did Manson left John Connor? Im confused with her at the end of the episode?

It would be great if you guys answer some of my question. Im going to watch this episode again online soon.

What a great episode. Hopefully with a new season will start in the fall. With John Connor in the future becoming a leader and his relationship with Cameron and Allison on which one will he love? Also They should have Sarah Connor in the present finding out Dyson son. Maybe he has a big part of skynet and maybe he hacked John Henry.

.

The whole thing about "will you join me" was in relation to a question the future John Connor making an alliance with the terminators to defeat Skynet. That was talked about like two or three episodes ago.

I think Manson left Connor because she knew the future had changed.

Oh Im little confused. Maybe if I read your comment like a million times i get it.

There was a scene a few episodes ago with Jesse on a submarine in the future where a T-1001 broke lose. Jesse asked what it wanted and it relied, "Tell John Connor, No."

Apparently John had offered a truce with( maybe just one terminator or just that model) to try and stop Skynet.

Nevermind I get it now Thanks TheComicbookKid. Ive seen that episode but somewhat got confused more with the season finale.

So Weaver is now part of John's resistance but behind-the-scenes only right? That's why she hides before Derek and the rest of the fighters find John in the future.

I can't say this enough, great finale. It surely made up for those middle episodes in the season that were lackluster.

Why would Future John Connor want to make a alliance with terminators to defeat skynet?

I thought the terminators from the future where evil?

I know what mason role was in the present.
Not evil, just but programed to kill humans (the older T models), but the T1000 are so advanced that they can decide for themselves if they want to destroy Skynet or kill for them. I guess.

Awesome, awesome episode we surely need a third season.

Hell I'll take 13 more episodes in season 3 to make up for season1's shorten season because of the writers strike. :cmad:

You got a point there sir! Season 3 please!!

Yup. Great finale. Though, I had no problems with the middle episodes. They were alright.

See. This is the part that got me even more interested in Catherine Weaver.

I am disappointed that we didn't see Savannah in this episode. :(

With Sarah in the present, I suppose she helps Ellison look after Savannah. "She's not safe..." I mean after all, Sarah did risk her own life to protect the girl. So...I don't see why not. I think Sarah's purpose in the present is to find the Turk and prevent JD from happening but I dunno. lol.

I feel torn though, that Sarah is stuck in the present but it was a turning point for her to let John go, you know? A mother had to do what she had to do... it was her choice. I feel sad. :( Question is, will Sarah and John reunite at some point?

I guess it all depends if Fox gives the word on wither or not T:TSCC will get renewed with a season 3.

I loved the last bit at the end of the finale with Sarah's last words for John, "I love you too..."

I almost flipped when Derek showed up. Kyle too.

John Connor going into the future definitely sealed his fate. If there is no reason for John to send Kyle Reese back in time to protect/ tap Sarah Connor then John Connor in the future will eventually disappear/ cease to exist. Shirlynator taking John into the future was a big set up from the beginning.

We don't know what this alternate future is going to be like. Without John's leadership, all sort of weird things might happen here. Skynet might very well be kicking the resistance's ass, because John wasn't their to guide them. Right now, the agenda is to get back Cameron's chip and go home, but those are both easier said than done. Fortunately, John has Weaver backing him up, so surviving post-apocalyptia is going to be at least somewhat possible. If John had gone alone, I'd say he was a total idiot, and there'd be little hope for him actually succeeding short of a deus ex machina.

This episode was brilliant. It pisses me off in all the right ways, and makes me desperate to see so many things resolved in the next season. And if there is no next season, Fox is going to be in some serious over-their-head crap from the fanboys. I do not think Fox would have let Josh Friedman and co. make a cliffhanger this insane if there wasn't a good possibility of a third season, nor would they have specifically called this the SEASON finale. This episode has us asking way more questions than we were going in, and it's going to drive everyone INSANE until we see episode 301. We MUST have a season 3. This cliffhanger makes the Season 1 cliffhanger look like a mild in comparison.

Oh yeah, and John totally got blue-balled in this episode. I can only imagine what was going through his head when Cameron said "I need you to know how this body works," then proceeded to strip and ask him to climb on top of her. He must have been like "OMG, Cameron is totally asking me to do it with her! I shouldn't, Mom would kill me... Oh screw it, I'm gonna go for it!" And then, Cameron pulls out the knife, and asks him to check her power cell.

ACCESS DENIED!

Poor John. I bet he's feeling awful sore right about now. :(

And poor Cameron. I hope Ziera has fixed her body by the time John gets back with her chip. :(

I just have to say...wow. I'm not sure if I liked or disliked it. I thought the build up was great and the use of Cameron was quite clever, including blue balling John and all the "Jameron" fangirls out there. I also get the sense that Cameron as we know her is lost.

At the same time, John and Sarah were both really used and I'm so happy to see Derek again (and to think we all groaned at the notion of BAG being on this show), but really. I feel it breaks a cardinal rule of Terminator mythos for John to go to the future before J-Day and therefore cease to exist for them. What is the point as he is too young and without any clout to change time. I understand if John Henry and Weaver going earlier to fight the good fight, but John being there?

I did like John meeting his father for the first time and seeing Cameron as a real person which he can finally act on (even though she is doomed)...but it just feels wrong.

I also liked Weaver not being purely bad and saving them all and Ellison finally finding out the whole picture. I hope there is a season 3, but I'm not sure what the point is to put John in the future other than to stretch the show onward.

I didnt like the ending at all. I expected something a lot better for a season finale. John Connor ends up a "who?" in the future despite being around people he knows. I'd rather them just end on that then screw it up anymore. Thanks Josh Fieldman.

I liked it. It was a risk to do something like this & would definitely hep this show stand on its own if they had the rest of the show in this future :woot:

I just watched the finale.

Can someone break down that final scene...this son is completely lost.

What year are they in?
Is their a slightly older John Connor running around somewhere as well who has yet to establish his reputation?
Was Weaver a villian or what?
What happened to John Henry?
What the hell does Danny Dyson have to do with anything?
What's the relevance of John now being a nobody in the future war?

Seriously, WTF?

I was loving all of it until the ending when he went forward in time, if thats the very ending of the series its not a very good one, it answered nothing but if they continue they better answer some of these god dam questions like why did Weaver go forward with him and where the hell did John Henry go with Cameron's chip.

But it was awesome to see Derek again even he was only gone for one week :D

I loved it, and it's really exciting to see the show moving into uncharted territory. I think there is LOADS of potential for Season 3, because they can do pretty much whatever they want. I think I've pretty much narrowed down the 3 main priorities for the first few episodes of season 3:

  1. John needs to find Cameron's chip: from what we've seen, Cameron's program probably switched places with John Henry's. By that, I mean that John Henry probably downloaded himself onto Cameron's chip, while simultaneously uploading her onto his server, which would mean that they can switch back when John finds her chip. On John's end though, this will be the classic "Save the Princess" scenario. The fact that John cares about Cameron enough that he'd put his own destiny at risk to save her speaks volumes about how strongly he cares for her. We still don't know why Cam agreed to give John Henry her chip, but that's yet another question I'm eager to see answered. Above all else, I'm glad that FINALLY, the writers are making us root for John again.

  2. Return to 2009: Obviously, we won't have much of a show if John spends the rest of it in post-apocalyptia, because that means that anything Sarah does in the present will be futile. When John returns to the present, the future will start evolving again, but in the mean time we'll get a good look at a future where John didn't exist; where the resistance will have to fight without his leadership. John is either going to be disillusioned about his importance in the war, or he is going to be bolstered in how lost of a cause it is if he doesn't return to 2009 and grow up. John's best hope for survival will almost definitely be through Catherine Weaver, so he's lucky that she's on his side.

  3. Repair Cameron: With Cameron's body still at Ziera Corp, the Ziera techies will probably repair her, since they fixed up Cromartie's body good as new, despite him suffering even more damage than Cam. Whether or not they're going to have Cameron being active through John Henry's hardware, or even having her body tethered to it in a similar way to JH, is kind of a mystery at this point. Given the fact that this is looking to be a "save the princess" story, by nature the audience will feel like they've been cheated out of their emotional and chronological investment if Cameron is beyond saving, so I wouldn't worry about it much. Also, the "I'm sorry John" message that appears on JH's screen suggests that Cameron still exists, but she's confined within John Henry's servers. I think it's kind of a given that in some form, John will come riding in on the white horse and reactivate her.

On an interesting side note, I'm really interested to see where John's introduction to Allison takes him in terms of character development. A lot of sillies on the internet have long speculated that Allison is somehow the "ideal" way for John to fulfill his feelings towards Cameron while avoiding the "boy on robot" territory, but I think it's going to be kind of the opposite. I think the fact that Allison is the so called "easy way out" means she's going to be there to tempt John. Are John's feelings for Cameron based on her looks, or on who she is underneath? What better way to find out, than by offering him a human girl that looks just like her as an alternative?

I think that as John comes to realize just how different Allison and Cameron are, it will affirm that there is no substitute for Cameron, and John will be more comfortable with his feelings towards her. Seeing how much John enjoyed being close to Cameron, even as he felt her cold metal bones, shows that John does not need to ignore the fact that she's metal underneath to find her attractive, and enjoy closeness to her. She quite literally opened herself up and let John inside of her, which carries with it some very deliberate sexual connotations.

The next step, is finding out whether or not John would still want her even if he was offered an alternative, which is where Allison fits into the story. I think John's initial reaction to Allison is a pretty good indicator of where they're going to to go with her character: when John first sees her, his face lights up on a kid like Christmas day; he's found Cameron, and everything is going to be okay. But then, reality sinks in, and he realizes it's not her. His face goes from one of joy to a kid who just found out that Santa Clause isn't real. I think that's going to be the tune that their entire relationship is going to take.

Yeah, this is an awful lot of Jameron-centric thinking, but hey, it was Josh Friedman's idea to have John go 20 years into the future on a quest to rescue his beloved Cammy's chip and bring her back. A lot of Jameron talk kind of comes with the territory. :woot:

Agreed. If Fox cancels this show, I'll be pissed.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure if I want it to continue. I mean it's kinda over, from my point of view though. It's just an oppinion.

But if they won't cancel, I'll be happy, I'm looking forward to it, I wonder if at the end of the episode that was actually Allison or Cameron, the way she reacted, was more like human!

I totally didn't see the ending coming ,and it was a good surprise. If anyone here says they saw that coming, you are lying. It was great.
