You would think any half-decent show based on the Terminator series would be a sure fire hit. I guess people would rather watch American idol than cool sci-fi. A shame.

I echo your sentiments. With all the mindless, disposable reality schlock on TV, it should be easy to find a place for a quality show like TSSC.

I soo wanted John to kiss Cameron. :wow: :woot:

He should have done more than that.

Why, what's in it for you guys?!?

...a F-IN' MACHINE!

It all about the idea that we secretly want to get with her, so if John does "it" then we can all live vicariously though him.

I didn't....because that would be gross....she is a machine

No way man, if she were there and you were there, you won't say no.

Machine or no machine, if I were John Conner I would have found out just how that body works. :cwink:

Yep. I can't stand that show and I hate that it's so popular because other networks will not put anything up against it. It is a true same.

I'm with Black Lantern. I simply couldn't do it with a cyborg, even if it was one that I found attractive. However, it's a great storyline.

i wouldnt mind if they finish it the way they did with Jericho.
7 episode season, except actually finish it. no cliff hanger ending.

That, and it's marketed somewhat wrongly. The ads make it sound like action with some drama when it's more drama with some action.

As for the write-in campaign that the Sarah Connor Society is trying to set up, anyone who's thinking of participating should simply say they watch it live without Nielson. While they say they're looking at all numbers, I'm pretty sure live carries the most weight since it's where they make the bulk of their income (through advertisers) and have the least complete statistics on.

I really liked the ending for the latest episode, is that the last for the season?

meaning, less than decent...sub-decent, that's why. And as Mr. Peasant pointed out, most people tuning in will expect action, with a little deep drama... rather than deep drama, and real action once or twice a season.

The finale was pretty good. Although, when the producers chimed in a few weeks ago and said they crafted the finale in a way so that it could serve as a series finale (just in case), I expected a bit more resolution. There are a ****load of new questions and not really a lot of closure.

If it gets another season, there's some interesting stuff to get into. However, I don't see a renewal happening.

"You need to know how this body works." *removes tops* Mercy. :o
Thank Zeus he didn't boink the machine. You guys can cite women using 'toys' for years all you want. This is on an entirely different level. It's the unnatural evolution of that creepy ass guy with the RealDolls delusion. *blech*
Good comments.

Although I thought they resolved quite a few questions that were raised this season.

Totally agree on the Cameron thing. I mean of course we want to see John boink her (because we want Glau to get boinked), but doing it to a 'sentient' cyborg is a whole 'other' concept than making an inanimate object for 'pleasure'. Even she seems to understand that. This is the second time she saw that special look in his eyes and reminded him it was time to go.

Really good ending. If it had come during the mid-season finale and the second half of this season had been about John in the future and Sarah in the past, it would've probably been a fantastic season. Unfortunately, they dragged the Riley/Jesse crap and Sarah's guilt over killing some random dude out for forever and a day instead.

I don't disagree with what is said about the pace of the story telling, but after watching two seasons of this show, it is clear to me that this IS their style. It is very slow and deliberate and may never be high impact action or faced pace.

Funny enough, everyone is applauding this episode, but in actuallity it has set up the scene for more of the same if there was another season. I can totally see next season having 8 episodes about how John feels being separated from Cameron and his mom. Even though they are 1,000 other more interesting things going on around him, some of which we would see, this would be the focus. That's how these guys write.

Again, I'm not defending it, but I definitely think that is what would happen.

Yeah, that's why I won't miss the show if it's canceled. I appreciate drama and character building, but the show's called Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. You've gotta have a decent amount of action, too. Not Terminator-of-the-week like the first half of season 1, but every now and then, at least.

Regardless, the basis of the show is still "robots from the future come back to kill Sarah/John Conner," so that should be reflected more than, like, 3 times per season. Even if it isn't, though, there should be more interesting storylines than "John/Derek has a girlfriend who's secretly a bad guy" or "Sarah's guilty over killing some dude." The stuff with Weaver took such a backseat when, after that future story with the sub, it became apparent that Weaver may actually be the most interesting character on the show. They should've done more with that instead of taking the entire season to even have Weaver and the Conners meet.

I agree, and that is where they want wrong. They should never have allowed the show to marked with "Terminator". They clearly wanted this to be about Sarah Conner and her emotional point of view.

And here is where I disagree. I think they (the writers) have made it clear that this show is NOT about robots from the future come back to kill sarah/john Conner. It may have been 'billed' and 'marketed' this way, but that aint what this story is about.

This show is about making the viewer see, feel, and think about the total emotional, social and psychological changes that Sarah, her son and subsequently anyone else that entered into her world would ultimatley go through.

It also appears to want to give the viewer more to talk about than "Look at how cool Cameron is. She killed those other terminators with one blow! She is so bad*ss!" Instead we have more compelling conversations. For example, "Is it wrong to want John to hump a cyborg?" or " Is Cameron truly in-love with John?"

Finally, I love how believeable the character's evolutions are. When John revealed how he had allowed the game with Riley to continue, it was SUPERB. Mostly because we had labored through 8 episodes of watching him psychologically play that game.

Again, this isn't a defense of this show. It has too many contradictory aspects to be the cerebral show they wanted to make. But I do get how good a cerebral show could be if the audience was willing to deal with it as a TV show. Overall I think this is the wrong medium for this type of storytelling.

Derek and Jesse could've been interesting, except that it was inextricably tied into John/Riley, which sucked.

Sort of reminds me of the "Enterprise" "Star trek: Enterprise" situation. Not many people tuned into the show when it was just called "Enterprise"

So TPTB's slapped "Star Trek" on the front

It's like "Wolverine: X-Men Origins" some might think "Wolverine" is a killer animal flick.

I just watched the show what a great episode it was, and what a set up for a future episodes if there is one. Derek comes back, Cameron is an actual person, and John gets to meet his dad and more than likely if there is a season 3 John doesn't just grow up but sees first hand the harsh realities of the world he is meant to save. I fully expect John if the show is picked up to go back to the past but the John who would go back would be a more hardened, more focused John.It would be a great season if they choose to go that route.

John is a nobody in the future now, I do like the idea of Cameron as a real person though. But Sarah would still be stuck in the past "trying to fix it". But I doubt there will be a 3rd season.

For the love of god, it's Sarah ConnOr, not Conner!!! :cmad:

Sorry, but that almost as annoying as people saying Rouge instead of Rogue.
