1:All signs have pointed prior to wolverine's time traveling 1973 scenes being bot sequel to First class and prequel to Trilogy and futre scenes sequel to trilogy and the wolverine
2:It's very possibly before time traveling the protypes were suspose to be
destroyed and trask killed and sometime post trilogy and the wolverine a more advanced version of Sentinles are launch against mutants.

Bryan Singer went to James Cameron for advice on the time travel story.Remember the terminator had those from future create the future that
Skynet wanted to chance-a:The terminator lead to sky and B:Kyle reece fathered John Connor which wouldn't have happened If terminator hadn't been sent back.

I guess that's the closest we'll get to Cameron directing an X-men movie.

Awesome tidbit nonetheless.

@rob_keyes The Sentinel head is designated Mark I and it's 50 years old. It's NOT the Sentinel the X-Men will primarily be fighting."

Is the person who said this reliable?

Thats very hi-tech for the 70s, seems like singer is ignoring technology advances ;)

Im Thinking defo may have 1 or 2 sentinels in the 70s

A quasi-sentient robot is pretty high tech for any era, though, isn't it?

My first thought when I saw the head: "What is this... a Sentinel for ants?!"

i HATED this as soon as I saw it...

then after staring ANGRILY at it...I saw something i didn't see at first:

i no longer have any complaints.

Awesome. Awesome. AWESOME. PERFECT.

GOD I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE

:exp:

Also this implies (assuming the Sentinels were built in 1973 or around there) that the future part of the film takes place in 2023.

All this Trask tech is looking fantastic. This film is getting too real for me to bear. Next year? Really? :(

70s propaganda robot posters look very cool. Love the retro style.

Left eye looking at Storm, right eye looking at Logan ;)

I can't wait to see the X-Men destroy the sentinels!

I know Halle is pregnant but I hope in some way she is seen at full strength. She doesn't have to fly to send a bolt of lightening death down upon a Sentinel. Just 1 time!

Well its a good thing they hired a stunt woman for her character.

Loving what i'm seeing so far of the Sentinels and those anti-mutant posters!:yay:

It's pretty sleek and futuristic looking for a prototype from the 70's.The 'mask' gives it a I, Robotesque look but i'm sure that it surves a purpose (maybe a flight windshield?). And i have to say i'm surprised they stuck with the classic purple color too.

Can't wait to see what they look like in action.:hyper:
So how do these compare designwise with the Sentinel head we saw in THE LAST STAND? Any similarities?

Comics Alliance have a collage comparing them here.

And here are some pics that were taken in X3's pre-production courtesy of rositavisibleworld.
