Oh, I'm not a fan. I read the first 2 graphic novels and though there's a great deal of cool there I could not get into the character himself. Constantly self pitying, self loathing, not my idea of heroic.

Nah I'm not too into it. The original mini wasn't bad, but I'd rather see some other characters on screen.

I actually think it would be even better if it had no other marvel characters in it and it just had The Sentry as the only superhero to have ever existed. And for the only superhero to have ever existed suddenly disappear and become forgotten?, thats super cool

Maybe Sentry/Void should be one of the villains for the Avengers. He doesn't have what it takes to be the lead in his own movie though.

At any rate, yeah, he actually could hold a movie by himself. Pre-Bendis of course. It's an interesting story. Hero turns out to be his own worst enemy. Hides what he is from the world, hides it from his friends, family, and even himself, in order to keep his demon at bay. It works amazingly well actually. Taking Jester's idea to make it so he's the only hero in his world. Unconnected with the MU proper, may actually be the best way to do it. Just swap out Reed Richards with the doctor that created the serum. Exchange his Side Kick, the Hulk, with his actual side kick. The one that lost his arm. The rest kinda writes itself. He goes around searching for who he really is, slowly regaining his powers back as he meets up with all the people that were a big part of his being the Sentry. Maybe throw in a few villains from his past. A few flashbacks to battles, find his watchtower and Clok, and end it with a huge battle with the Void in which he realizes that he is the void, and he has to take himself out once and for all to keep the Void from coming back. Lets go with flying into the sun. End of movie.

No they wouldn't. I;m as huge a Supes fanboy as there is.

I think it would make a great movie. You just might have to ultimize it so it won't look to much like Supes and it could be a great psychological movie.

If they cannot get Supes right how could you even begin a Sentry movie? I'd rather see a Blue Marvel movie, at least he's not a nut case.

The Sentry ain't Superman. In fact, he'd likely be easier to do cuz, I mean, the guys a drug addict, agoraphobic, crazy person. Much easier for the public to take than somebody that's actually a decent person cuz, get this, they were raised that way. Also, neither Sentry of the Blue Marvel are owned by Warner Brothers. And that is a huge help.

That's my problem with him, there's nothing heroic about him other than his powers. A drug addled nutjob, yeah, I hated that book. If the public needs their heroes flawed then I want no part of that public.

Then you are alone! Do you know how many people think Superman sucks becuase he's just ............perfect? He's gorgeous, has every power imaginable, can get any chick he wants(though we all know he's banging Bruce Wayne), great job...............who likes a guy like that?! Sentry is a lowlife guy on Prozac that gets amazing powers and is his own worst enemy..........................that in itself is a great premise for a movie........or tv show!

Yeah, but the people that hate Superman are idiots. Sadly, that makes up the vast majority of the movie going audience.


And the Sentry was a drug addict loser, who drank some random chemicals and split himself between his heroic, bright shining light of justice side, and his dark, evil, soul eating, makes the devil piss his pants side. The question with the Sentry is, which one is he really? The Void? Or the Sentry? Very interesting, and those idiots eat that s**t up.

People think Superman sucks because they hate perfection, I haven't got a problem with it, in fact I find it quite admirable. A low life drug addict mental defective offers no sense of life but the gutter.
