In my post on Batman 3 and Inception, I made qualified statements based on conversations with my source on the set of Burke and Hare. This evening I was able to clarify what he said:
The sets for Batman 3 will be constructed toward the end of the year.
Inception, not The Dark Knight, was the film that was under budget, prompting Nolan to have the crew build an extra set (no word if said set was used in the film).

Not even Leo knew what C. Nolan had entirely planned for Inception. To say that a constructed part of the set was not used for Inception and so it must be for Batman 3 seems like you're reaching for some news. If the lead actor of the film has no idea about what the director is doing with the film then I doubt all the crew knows as well. Which means, maybe they already used that part of the set when that crewman wasn't there, maybe there were safety precautions with the set that just couldn't be messed with so they just didn't film there, or maybe that part of the set just didn't exist and was just made up by C. Nolan. He is known for drawing attention away from what he is actually doing and make people believe that he's doing something else. That's how he keeps his films so tight lipped and that's also why not even C. Nolan's lead actor knows what's going on.
