The Soda-Pop Discussion, Debate, and Poll Thread

The place for thirsty people to go to discuss their favorite pop or soda, or whatever they want to call it. My top five have to be:

1. Squirt
2. Faygo Rock & Rye
3. Wild Cherry Pepsi
4. Canada Dry
5. Coca~Cola

I've never heard of most of these.

Dr. P and Coke I like most but since going on a diet I don't drink soda much anymore.

Faygo is a Detroit based company and probably the third largest soda manufacturer in the U.S.

Moon Mist = Mountain Dew
Grape = Grape
Pineapple = Pineapple
Rock & Rye = Dr Pepper + Red Pop/Hawaiian Punch???

Vernor's is not a Faygo product but I do believe it is also Detroit based. Quite simply it is a Ginger Ale, much stronger than Canada Dry. I always viewed it as an adult type pop when I was younger but I've grown to enjoy it on occasion.

The advantage to Faygo is that it's quality and taste are better than pretty much everyone but Coke and Pepsi and far cheaper. The 20 oz. of Faygo cost .89 cents compared to the $1.79 for Coke and Pepsi and Faygo's 2 Liters are a modest $1.09.

Some of Faygo's other flavors include:
Cream Soda
Coconut Cream Pie
Chocolate Cream Pie
Raspberry Blueberry
and Lemon Lime
Faygo Cola and Faygo Cherry Cola aren't too far off from Coke and Pepsi.

I've never tried the 'pie flavors.' My favorite Faygo's have to be Rock & Rye and Pineapple. They both make good mixers too, especially the Rock & Rye.

You are right about Surge but I thought it was too good to leave off.

Oh, I didn't forget Fanta.

Guarana-caffeine drink. Its amazingly good. Only kind of pop I drink nowadays. Tastes like 7-up with fruitiness.

Its marketed mostly to gamers, bmx'ers, and paintballers.

So glad Squirt was on the list. LOVE that stuff. Pepsi is my crutch though, I am a little too hooked on it to be honest. Caffeinne addictions are a killer.

Yeah, I tried to leave off diet pops, energy drinks, and teas. The list would have simply been too big.

My favorite energy drink has to be Monster, the green one. I'll have to try that one you said though.

Yeah, that caffeine addiction can be a real *****. Squirt is probably my #1 right about now, as long as it's carbonated and cold.

Jones soda is definitely one I have to try. I see it in the store all the time but never buy it.

I checked their flavor index and found it very odd that they had a 'Turkey & Gravy' soda.

yeah during the holidays they really go all out heh. its mostly special edition stuff, but the majority of it is really good.

Yeah, Jolt can usually be found on the bottom shelf of your local major grocer and all covered in dust, kind of hidden in the back.

No ****? I thought it was discontinued. Then, a couple years back, I saw it on the bottom shelf off the pop aisle, all dusty. I haven't seen it since, or maybe I'm just not looking for it hard enough.

The bottles are so awesome. I use them to decorate my apartment, and am collecting the metal caps to cover a coffee table top. I'm going to make a string of blue-bottle LED lights one of these days.

It comes in mega-cans now, sold individually. Something like 18oz. They usually put it up with the energy drinks at gas stations and such.

Bawls makes an awesome mixer for alcohol. Bawls+Capn= pure awesomewin.

Right now, this has to be my favorite energy/health soft drink:

There are flavors aren't as good. It beats Red Bull, AMP, Rockstar, and pretty much anything else. This 'Bawls' may give it a run for it's money though.​
