The Spider-Man 3 First Look Thread [Merged]

you know encouraging me would help alot. I think thats what I need, being mean to me about my posts won't make them better, being nice will.

I have encouraged you before. Even showed you what you were doing wrong. Remember you were shown how many times you said the same thing in one thread, and you promised you'd stop??

I understand what your saying, I will stop and read over the persons post.

I really hope you do. Also, don't feel you have to respond to everything that everyone says. It's not necessary.

I know you're enthusiastic. But agreeing with everyone that you like something or are excited about something, when you've already said so, is not really necessary.

Doc Ock I don't hate you at all. most of you guys are trying to help and at this point that is what I really need.

Nobody hates you, either. Cmill216 was trying to help you back there, but you ignored his post.

Just stop, read, and think before you post, ok??

I will remember everything you said here tonight. this what I needed. an explination of how to post. you really helped me Doc Ock:yay:.

Just looking at the small action glimpses in this preview, and looking at the fightsequences in spider-man 2, I can HONNESTLY say that the action in these movie's are the most breathtaking and beautiful action sequences EVER created on film. NOTHING comes near it, not even the giant battles in the LOTR's films. It's just not the same! When we're talking about badass fightsequences, it's SPIDER-MAN you want! Nothing compares, it's so freaken cool! AND SPIDEY 3 WILL KNOCK THE **** OUT OF ALL OTHER SUPERHERO FLICKS!

^ well said Naite22. now the LOTR's films had impressive action sequences but doesn't hit the spot on huge action sequences like the spidey movies do. I gauran damn tee that spidey 3 will raise the bar for action/adventure films to come. superhero movies will be blown out of the water by spidey3 (that includes The Dark Knight) not only in action scenes but in story telling wise. just look at how much spidey1 and spidey2 made togeather, more than a $billion. amazing? certainly is.

This trailer rocks. I can't get enough of the Symbiote effect and Topher Grace's acting (both of which I had some concern about). Seeing some exposition on Flint Marko wasn't too bad either. The only cringe-worthy moment for me was when Gwen introduced Spider-Man at the parade. It just seemed like Howard put a bit too much effort into it.

Anyone else notice that James Franco hasn't had much to say in these behind-the-scene interviews?

Hey everyone let's pick on Naite now, he seems way too enthusiastic. :word: jk

I agree when it comes to action. Spidey, particularily what I've seen from this one, is the definately up at the top of my list for action movies.

Decided to screencap the Symbiote effect so others could see the difference:

I love the way that the Symbiote's bonding now looks organic rather than fluid and has a glossy movement like every part of the goo is seeping into Peter's uniform.

it's creepy......... in a cool way.

These trailers (and to a lesser extent, the merchandise releases) are slowly giving us a Venom fix.

If you think hard about it, the entire Spidey 3 hype machine is slowly building Venom/brock up. Perhaps too much?

(The Spidermanhero12 vs the Hype spat was like a modern day David and Goliath! Unless SMH12 wants to tell us his age and nationality and other demographic info, I still think he may be a prankster, a prankster with serious staying power, mind).

Lmfao the smh12 hate has begun again. Im staying out of this one, SMH12 if you want my advice, just start trying to put more into your posts then just simple phrases that sound like a robot i.e. OWNAGE and this movies awesom keep it up. People will respect you if your posts are meaningful, for example go to the anti usm thread and check out Doc Ocks argument for why Bendis destroyed the character. Its strong, well thought out and meaningful. He knows what hes talking about and hes expressing his opinion in a way where no one can really go "yo man you suck get out".

People here dont dislike you, they dont even know you, the only way to judge someone on a forum is by what they post, there just is never much to your posts unless your standing up for yourself, and in that case sometimes your arguments arent that strong, for example "you guys all pick on me", and "please teach me how to post better im desperate".

Just start posting what you think, in more then just a few cliched words and things should go better for you, and people will stop humming Mr. Roboto in your presence. I understand your younger though, so I'm gona give you a break.

If you are a determined prankster however, disregard this.

YES well moving on.

New symbiote effects are indeed awesom. That was my quablle with the trailer, I'm glad they are continuously upgrading the effects.

They're spoon-feeding us the details. Actually, I like that. I like to be surprised.

Awesome footage, especially I loved this scene...

spideyman.jpg

oh yeah, the shot of spider-man swinging over the people was beautiful. I've been dieing to see more grounds eye views of spider-man in action since the first movie. there's just something about those shots that make it look like it could ACTUALLY happen, which in turn, makes things that much amazing.

there will be complaints but there really shouldn't be. I will never complain because there is really nothing to complain about. I personally think that the effects look perfect.

it really is a VERY cool scene. I think that day time symbiote spidey web-swinging scene is probably when symbiote spidey changes back into evil peter parker. you know that scene where peter is walking down the street where the camera is faced towards the symbiote suit under peters shirt and then peter is buttoning up his shirt and is sort of walking in a "feel good" way sort of like the "Rain drops keep fallin on my head" scene in spidey2.

you are such an unrealistic guy.

you think everything is perfect. so noone takes you serious.

i know. i'm this close to putting him on ignore because all his posts are the same and it's annoying the hell out of me

I think that is what i'm gonna do to. He says the same thing over and over again.

well it's really not that big of a deal that his spider sense didn't go off because if it did go off then we wouldn't have seen a really badass slam by sandman.

this is exactly what i'm talking about. sam could make a spider-man movie about batman and he would find a way to defend it. very nice how he totally accepts the possible dismissal of spider-man's spider sense in the above post.

Actually it makes perfect sense that his ESP "didnt" work. If Sandman is near he is in constant danger...thus his Spidey Sense must constantly be going off...so he cant differientiate when Sandman will actually hurt him or not since it is probably continuous at this point

no, it doesn't make sense. there are different levels of danger, just like there are different intensities of his spider sense.

imagine this, say a criminal brings out a gun, spider-man's sense starts a bit of a centralized tingling, then as the criminal is about to fire the weapon, in addition to that tingling, there's a sharp tingling at the exact spot on his body the bullet is supposed to hit, the criminal fires, spider-man gets that spot on his body out of the way, and that tingling on that spot goes away. that's why he's able to dodge so many bullets at once. but a centralized low tingling still remains as he is still in the presense of a criminal with a gun.

the only time spider-man's sense doesn't work properly is in the rain. but no matter how much danger is around, spider-man's sense should be able to adjust.

sandman's around, low buzzing, he's about to strike, high buzzing.

Wow. You people are really spending several pages busting on this kid, because he's enthusiastic about this movie? Like any of you have contributed something substantial.

Gives an idea what the rest of the symbiote(unbonded) will look like

Look, that's Sandman's little daughter in the background. I think she's about to stop Sandman from killing Spidey. Or did someone already point this out?
Yeah, I already pointed that out. That's kinda why I circled it with red. :oldrazz:

Good post. I'm inclined to agree. Although, you have to see it from Sm12's point of view too. Being bashed every now and then for being a little over excited about the movie isn't what I'd call fair. I've seen the guy on here for a while, and from I could gather, has not entirely "not contributed" to this forum.

However, many posters only post on these boards, just to get up to a higher post-count. While I wouldn't term Sm12's posts to be entirely spam, he has probably realized by now that his excitement is not shared by the rest of the people who "lost it" today.

Repetation is a botheration, and he should post only if he has something meaningful to add to the discussion, and not just to increase his post count. But, with limited information, and on slow days, if he does express his excitement about the movie in a thread at this forum, is it truly that wrong?

My advice, SM12 - just hop on over to the SHH! Community . You won't be jumped on for posting similar messages so long as it is done in good fun.

Peace.

I was going to say that was a great post, until you reached this part. He'd get eaten alive in there. :wow:

You guys follow the rules way too closely.

You're bashing the guy who's excited for Spider-Man 3...on a board that's called Spider-Man 3 hype.

Let the irony run wild!

Live hard and learn. ;) He'll be fine. It'll just take time, effort, oh, and a box of chocolates for Dew. :hyper:

About the spider sense thing....It's not like he can respond to all attacks and parry them instantaneously. As we know from seeing in the comics, Spidey can be caught off guard even with his spider sense tingling at its fullest extent.
