One thing I have tried to piece together is the anchor man thing.

-"This could be the end of Spider-man."

The question I have is...how the heck does he know what is going on up there, who Venom is ect. I doubt they have reporters up there. I have only come to a few conclusions.

1. This is not near the end, that it is when Eddie has the big breaking picture of Spidey robbing a bank. The paper that screams: "THIEF!"-Spider-Man shows his true colors! That could be the anchor man saying this will be the end of Spider-man's career in a nutshell.

2. But I always figured it was near the end of the movie because I'm sure thats how Harry decides to go help out his friend and try to aid him in his time of need.

I just have been trying to piece that one together.

People will respect you if your posts are meaningful, for example go to the anti usm thread and check out Doc Ocks argument for why Bendis destroyed the character. Its strong, well thought out and meaningful. He knows what hes talking about and hes expressing his opinion in a way where no one can really go "yo man you suck get out".

Repetation is a botheration, and he should post only if he has something meaningful to add to the discussion, and not just to increase his post count. But, with limited information, and on slow days, if he does express his excitement about the movie in a thread at this forum, is it truly that wrong?

There we go. That's what my main beef was with him. Nobody was knocking his enthusiasm or excitement.

About the spider sense thing....It's not like he can respond to all attacks and parry them instantaneously. As we know from seeing in the comics, Spidey can be caught off guard even with his spider sense tingling at its fullest extent.

One of the funniest things about Spidey TAS was the fact that his spider sense always seemed to go off when was it too late.

Well Eddie is not quite the gentleman as we can tell. His character is suppose to be a dark person, a dark Peter so to speak. I see him as kind of a jerk/low life. But I think that it will make for an interesting character, reflecting upon him when he becomes Venom.

It's going to be a hilarious scene even if one's mind isn't in the gutter judging by the leaked trailer. Right after Brock says that, symbiote-spidey's going to "give him some web action" by webbing his camera and throwing it into a wall.

Oh, and as a side note, it's nice to see they are using some practical effects with Sandman's weapons like that mace in the photo above, and not just CGI. I'm sure it will be mixed with some dripping sand or whatever, but the "real" handmade mace attached to THC's arm can only make the weapon look more real on screen IMO.

The recent AICN leak says that the Sandman is knocked unconscious, so he probably stays knocked out until Venom meets his maker and escapes with his family after Peter's forgiven him.

Let's get passed the SM12 scenario. There's been much talk about it, and in my opinion, all the bickering about him is "getting old", "not bringing anything new to the table", and "a repetation of what has been posted before".

filmmakers want it to look as real as possible, the more real it looks the better in my opinion so I agree with you with using the practical effects for sandmans hand. well I guess....the more real the better although cgi obviously has to be used in specific scenes.

People here dont dislike you, they dont even know you, the only way to judge someone on a forum is by what they post, there just is never much to your posts unless your standing up for yourself, and in that case sometimes your arguments arent that strong, for example "you guys all pick on me", and "please teach me how to post better im desperate".

Personally, I'd want Venom to live. He has the potential to skyrocket the franchise into the big leagues. I'm thinking LOTRs and Star Wars. He's a marketing tool which can be used for promotion of future films. Merchandise sales will go off the roof if Venom survives this one. Believe it or not, he is probably the most recognized Spider-Man villain of the 90s.

I don't think that will happen no matter how much we want it to. he already stated he doesn't like venom so there would be alot of convinving for sam to use venom again. though I think sam could use sandman again since he's going to live.

I still think Venom will die due to the fact that they're hyping Brock out to be the only really evil person of the villain trio, but I just don't see how Sony's going to expand the series without him. Carnage, even in his Ultimate incarnation, is a red Venom and bringing back Norman Osborn or Octavius would be incredibly lame. I'd like to see more of Brock and more development than just the paparazzi attitude and the 10-minute sequence, but I severely doubt Raimi's dislike of the character will allow it.

I did not mean always.

But Sam did give us Venom, which he was very very very very iffy to do so in the first place. So now that he has done it, he even said in this preview that he loves Topher's character. I really have a feeling Sam likes his Venom. And would not mind continuing to use him.
