I thought Mr. Parker and Baker Boy were the same person.

Never heard that. Though it wouldn't surprise me. They agreed on everything. And I mean everything. Identical opinions about everything, not just regarding Spider-Man. But Batman too.

The user lakiamai shows up talking about and commenting on a few set photos Retroman found and then gives some "spoiler" info about them. No one believes him. He says he's an insider.

GoldGoblin PMs him a series of questions and gets answers back (now referred to as the Infamous Q&A). The merits of which are then debated for months. Other mini-Q&As (including one that Slag got back) were later released.

Then I managed to discover that lakiamai had a MySpace and I posted the link here. On his MySpace he talks about how he works for Sony and he loves the Spidey films (the MySpace reads and looks very real and legit, plenty of pictures and friends). Shortly after, the MySpace disappears and so does lakiamai (never to return again).

So, as we waited and waited, more stuff from the film came up (like set photos and the eventual Comic-Con stuff) which correlated with lakiamai's original info (back in February). Stuff like Harry's "Goblin" look, plot info, Venom's look, the symbiote suit, Sandman effects, etc. And lakiamai began to look like a legit source. But, he's never been heard from since.

And that, in short, was The Lakiamai Saga.

Yes, I remember him and his answers to questions being legit. The infamous Q&A. Our bible here for spoilers. But I didn't know about the MySpace stuff. I guess he got caught.

And now, I'd like to post the post that started it all:

Hey guys I'm a newbie to the forum but I feel that I can help shed some light on the pics..

The Wall/Building is used towards the beginning of the movie where harry in full GG Glory first attacks peter, and tosses him into the side of the building. This also where they have a huge airal fight sequence leading to a chase into an alley where (yes as a previous plot spoiler had reported) Harry is knocked out and Peter saves him and brings him to a hospital.

The church sequence is used when Black Symbiote Spidey attempts to tear his suit off by the ringing of the church bell. Unknown to him that right under him in the church Brock is walking in where peices of the symbiote land on him and then bond with him.

I've seen the costume of Venom (yes hes in it, but only towards the end) and its extemely cool. Think all black latex with veins all over his upper half, reaching over onto his arms. However the veins also shape into the Spider thats on his chest in the comics (no white).

Trust me, the movie is shaping up well and is in good hands. But be prepared for A LOT of fight sequences including a revisit to the subway fight sequence (only underground this time).

The Lakiamai saga was one of the most interesting things at the begining of the year. I remember at first I was a tad skeptical but kept my mouth shut, but as things started to roll in we found out the guy was quite right.

I remember way back when Lakiamai's stuff first leaked, it was quite interesting, I felt that it was excellent everything that was said, some were disappointed but I thought it sounded great.

Also when the Symbiote Spidey poster was shown, that was pretty big, I just remember it was not really until Comic Con until people finaly believed that Venom WAS in Spidey 3.

It was funny to see that that poster still was not enough proof for some.

I agree. If I had a sweet job like that, I wouldn't even open my mouth. And plus, it's disrespectful to Raimi and Sony. But it did give us something to talk about.

He described SnowGoblin, he talked about Venom, he talked about Harry's [blackout]death[/blackout], he talked about Gwen, he described Sandman growing into a huge monster (which we saw in the teaser and in the set reports from New York).

Dude was legit.

I think he said he was in the VFX department.
