...and what would Punk be doing during that time? he is obviously the most popular ECW wrestler....people would lose intrest if he wasnt with the title or involved in the title picture....

I actually wasnt crazy about punk winning the title from nitro, but now that he's held it for a while, he's proved to be a good champion. Hopefully they find a way to keep his character fresh and exciting without using up every feud possible. IMO that's what ruined cena. He feuded with everyone in the whole raw roster who is on his level. Orton was the last possible hope to take the title off of him.

But back to the subject, i kinda like punk with the title now. hope he holds on to it a little longer. Maybe have morrison screwed out of his title shot by Miz and then continuing their feud. Those two work well against each other.

I think he will get it back for sure, when Punk moves on to bigger things he's next in line. Nitro is a prime example of what Shawn said "The man makes the title, the title doesn't make the man" he was made champ when he was barely over, now he has a chance to build up some actual heat and be a credible champ when he next gets it.
