Curiosity! What is the official theatrical poster after all?
That's awesome to hear. The trailers and clips really look like they captured too much of the urban/modern side of Japan. The bullet train, city lights, research labs... I want to see a more feudal Japan look and tone in the movie. That's been totally missing in the footage so far.No, you don't. You want to save that kind of stuff for the movie. Trust me.
They should have stuck with the art poster motif for the entirety of this movie's marketing. Those carry the tone much better than all the blue hued character promos.

Does this mean that he wears a singlet for 85% of the movie and is shirtless for 15% of the movie?85% of the tone is this:

t:I am not going to get too excited because word of mouth is always good in the beginning like man of steel and iron man 3 then the real reviews start to pour in and everyone flips out it's like Dr Ian Malcolm once beautifully said it "Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that's how it always starts. Then later there's running and screaming."

Sounds like The Wolverine is the best X-Men film to date, for you.I loved everything about Iron Man 3 up until it turned into a CGI free for all with suits taking on glowing mercenaries. Biggest cop-out third act in a Marvel Studios movie yet.
I never liked Man of Steel. Saw it twice before reviewing it.
What I consider the best superhero movies as of today (the list changes depending on my mood/more viewings) are:
1) The Rocketeer
2) Iron Man
3) Batman Begins
4) The Avengers
5) Batman (89)
6) Superman: The Movie
7) Hellboy
8) The Dark Knight
9) Dredd
10) X-Men: First Class/Blade II
I'm not one to gush about a movie just because it's fresh on my mind. I'm actually more cynical than most. I don't go in with a "you have four stars and it's up to you to keep them" mentality. Every film I watch has to earn its way up the rating scale from zero. Obviously, my tastes are different than many (most?). But as of right now I have no problem saying The Wolverine has easily slipped into my top 5 list. And this is coming from a guy who was ready, willing and able to tear it apart until it won me over.
As much as I want to, I cannot say anything else about it. There is an embargo in place, and I respect the people who put it there. I hope I've answered enough.
