I'm going to make a video media thread for all the trailers, featurettes, and tv spots since it's currently scattered about the forum right now.

Nice work, that art is excellent.

Nice one on the media thread too:woot:

The video featurette (1080p) just got marked as private and the Facebook post from an hour ago disappeared. O_o. Hopefully they'll get that accessible again soon...

Excellent image, excellent new thread, and it looks like the YouTube video is working again.

Thanks.

The new embed for the featurette is now in the official video thread!

One of those tv spots shows Wolverine actually using SS's glowing sword, interesting.

Still no sign of the awesome t.v spot where Wolverine throws a guy off a building that has been playing stateside for a while now. :(

You'd think they'd just get the spots online as quickly as possible, instead of wasting everyone's time taking down the unauthorized ones...

Is this cover and story new?

I had a go. It seemed ok, but it wouldn't play right on my laptop (a bit slowdown). Seems like an amateur side scroller. Nothing to shout about. Though running along the rooftops taking out ninjas did vaguely remind me of Revenge of Shinobi (that's not meant as a comparison of gameplay quality obviously).

I like that you can fling ninjas into other ninjas with your claws. That's exactly what I was asking for in this thread a while back!

Virtual 'Wolverine' Stunt Puts Fans in Surly Hero's Shoes

To mark this month's release of The Wolverine, the sixth installment in the X-Men film franchise, 20th Century Fox International is recreating the story's Weapon X research facility with a virtual "Be the Wolverine" experience for the hero's fans in 17 countries.

Weapon X in the X-Men world transforms humans and mutants into fighting machines with superpowers. The facility spawned Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool and Leech.

"Be the Wolverine" stations placed in cinemas and shopping areas (locations to be announced before the movie's July 26 premiere) will use motion-sensing Kinect technology to turn people into holographic superheros, 20th Century Fox exclusively told Mashable.

"The experience allows fans the opportunity to become one of the most iconic Marvel characters, through simulated Wolverine fighting moves atop a speeding bullet train, whilst travelling through Tokyo," the studio revealed. "By slicing through obstacles and defending themselves from ninja attacks, fans will experience a virtual thrill ride "By slicing through obstacles and defending themselves from ninja attacks, fans will experience a virtual thrill ride, based on an exhilarating scene from the upcoming film."

Leech? Since when? Is that a mistake on behalf of the article or the people behind the virual Wolverine thing?

I just saw one of the TV spots during a repeat of The Daily Show. Apparently it's coming out in 3D, and in "large format theaters". Does that mean it's coming to the mini-IMAX/lieMAX theaters???

Agreed, Im not a fan of movies changing characters so much, I don't really know why they do it, yeah I understand you cant do a cut and paste from comic books for various reasons, but complete opposites of personality are just dumbfounding and only seek to pee fans off.

But yeah Harada looks like a cool character in his own right at least, wether he turns out to be SS or not, as long as what they come up with something that works for the story/is cool/makes sense then I can accept it. If the alternative is just stupid (ala Deadpool laser beam eyes and blades in his arms, CANT EVEN TALK!!:wall:) then I shall vent!!

To me, I didn't hate their treatment to Deadpool that much, because it was still the Wade Wilson that Ryan Reynolds portrayed.

But if Will Yun Lee is only Kenuicido Harada and the Silver Samurai is being played by someone else, like Shingen or that old guy that Wolverine helped in the war. I wouldn't like that.

Found quite a few of the latest TV spots here! Still, there are some I saw on TV that haven't come online yet!

BTW, film is PG13 according to the TV spot I saw tonight.

Leech? Since when? Is that a mistake on behalf of the article or the people behind the virual Wolverine thing?

I don't think it "spawned" him but he was captured by Weapon X and used as a weapon to remove Wolverine's powers during Frank Tieri's run, somewhere around #175. So Leech does have some connection to Weapon X.

The new pictures and stuff look great. I really like the one with Wolverine and Yukio.
