Watched this movie for the third time. It's a real shame about the performance, but just how it hasn't really stuck with people. It's the best DC film since WW.

That Screen Rant article is hilarious because it argues that the reason DCEU is facing financial troubles now is because they made the mistake of abandoning Snyder’s original JL plans that would have had Lois have a illegitimate kid with the guy who tried to murder her boyfriend and Superman becoming a evil puppet of Darkseid after he kills Lois(which would be reversed by Flash time traveling…again).

Gee…with such genius plans like that, I wonder why DC abandoned Zack’s plans so quickly. I’m sure they would’ve gone over so well with the audience like BvS did. :funny:

I finally got to see the film. I wanted to see it in theaters so I waited because the soonest I was going to get to a theater was today so... Yeah I just saw the film and I loved it. I think James Gunn is perfect for future DC movies.

Finally watched the film tonight. I enjoyed it but it didn't blow me away like I was hoping it would.

Wonder where Gunn’s brother was since the guy who doubled for King Shark got included.

I preordered a steelbook a few days ago. Best Buy's track record is iffy, I've found, since it seems like sometimes they'll only hold the pre-order for a set period of time before releasing the hold, even though the product isn't out for awhile. It's why I didn't pre-order a steelbook for Zack Snyder's Justice League and why I had to wait until a second wave of steelbooks for Godzilla vs Kong arrived to successfully get one for that.

But fingers crossed this one pays off because I do love some steelbooks.

Enjoyed the movie a little bit more upon re-watch, that flabby middle definitely slows the movie down and brings it down a notch though.

Finally just got around to watching this movie and had some mixed feelings. It's gorgeously shot and the movie has a ton of style, and I appreciated the movie really going for it with the gore. Something about James Gunn's style of direction is starting to rub me the wrong way though. It just feels like "look how weird this is, isn't it funny how weird it is?!" *insert needle drop*, rinse/repeat. It just wears on me after a while. I appreciate that this one had a bit more of an arc for the team a better story than the original film, so overall I guess I'd say I liked it. Considering this was having "one of the greatest CBM of all time" reactions when it came out, I can't say I understand that though.
