The Superman Suit thread!

Here is what's really killing me about the suit. The worst is the belt. It's just floating there, it's too busy and it serves no purpose. a simpler version would have been better as part of the suit itself. The shield looks terrible mostly because of the yellow. Nothing else on the entire suit is yellow. Also, the "s" could at least compliment the belt and boots. The rest of the suit had a very futuristic design, but the shield is trapped in the 70's. The yellow should be the gold like the cape clasps. I have no clue what's going on with the cape. Great cosplay.

They should've kept it simple.

The idea of the cape starting from the front of the soldiers is cool I think. But that belt. Wtf is that? Why would you overdesign the fricken belt? The boots too. What?!

I don't mind the lines of the suit and overall the blue. But they've got to work on the red.

Like I said before, the shield and costume look like they're from completely different eras in filmmaking. It's distracting.

I used to want to see batman in the cw tv universe, but after seeing this suit, I'm not entirely sure about that anymore.

But as my friends in the suicide squad forum have stressed to me, don't be too harsh on the look of a character, it's all about the performance, and I believe in Hoechlin.

Next thing you know people are arguing grants suit over the movie one.

Wow. Yeah, it's not his fault at all, but Hoechlin looks really skinny in that costume. It's almost distracting. He also doesn't look a day over 25, which wouldn't be a problem if his character wasn't supposed to be almost 40.

Yeah, agreed. Dunno what they were thinking. But the belt is even worse. Not only is it redundant, but also ugly as sin.

The suit and actor look significantly better than in that reveal pic. BUT-- The boots and belt are still too chunky (also, the belt should be yellow). Those I can live with, I suppose... However, those godawful plastic shoulder things have got to go ASAP.

And the actor needs to bulk up areas of his body other than his ass.

Same thing happened to Routh, the skintight suits hide muscle mass and definition, it's part of why even actors in spectacular shape still wear muscle suits in their superhero costumes.

Actually, the costume is miles better than Flash's and Green Arrows costume, hell it's better than Captain America (Avengers) costume.

They have added some ridiculous elements that make it look bad, like clunky belt and those awful shoulder cape attachments with plastic cape part.

As for the ass, I don't know Sawyer looks like it could be padded. Hard to compete with Cavill's.

But this Superman suit really is diabolical. It looks like something Eisenberg's Lex designed for him to wear on a walk of shame along with a dunce cap and a ball gag.

Hate the boots and I'm meh about the belt and cape attachment, I like everything else though, love that the \s/ shield is really close in design to the classic. I also like how they groomed Tyler's hair for the character.
