I can see no way that Bane would be a part of the League of Shadows. Despite the obvious fanboy reaches, it makes little logical sense.

How so? I highly doubt you read the script for TDKR nor know what Nolan has planned up his sleeve.

I'll ask again since no one answered:

Do they start filming in Pittsburgh tomorrow?

July 25 to Aug. 5:

Dithridge from Fifth Avenue to Winthrop Street, 5 a.m. Monday to 10 p.m. Friday

The first filming date that is listed in the shooting timeline thread is July 28th, so I think that might be the first day, which is this Thursday. If it actually is tommarow, then that's awesome. :woot:

If they start filming tommorow that is great! In the next few weeks I'm sure we will get many more set pics.

I could stare at your avi all day...

God I can't wait to see that in Imax.

I have not read the script.

I have no clue as to what Nolan has up his sleeve.

I do know that if the general consensus thinks that Bane is an "agent" of the LoS, then it cannot possibly be the right answer.

But what I mean is how can any of us know what Nolan has in store for us. His films have been magnificent so far, meaning he could make a square peg fit into a round hole. None of us could say for certain if a plot point is relevant or not. I'll wait until near when the film comes out to say if something makes sense or not unless it's Batman thinking breakdancing will save the day.

I think they are closing that street tomorrow for filming or for filming prep. Be on the lookout Steelers!

Agreed entirely.

I just think that the speculation of Bane as an agent of the LoS is simple, weak minded, and not well thought out. It would be a very "Hollywood" way of storytelling and doesn't fit with what Nolan and co. have produced over the years.

I actually didn't see the Joker in this universe as a dark mirror to Batman. Joker gave me the impression that he was simply sick of Gotham pretending to be something that it wasn't. Additionally, I took it he had a beef with the mob. His backstories all had SOME element of truth I believe. Given that he robbed a mob bank, I feel they had a hand in his creation. Therefore his use of the mob to bring down Gotham's White Knight in Harvey Dent and cause its citizens to slaughter each other.

Bane would work as a dark mirror to an extent. Bane is said to be a brutal and intelligent character (Gill's words). Perhaps at the beginning of this movie when Batman is dealing with the mob, his methods have become a bit more violent due to the stress of the GPD pursuing him even as the mob continues its shenanigans.

Cue Bane's appearance in Gotham and the maelstrom of rage he'll unleash. Maybe his methods to catch Batman--or achieve his goal--are indescriminate in taking out city property, civilians, or anyone who's in the way. And unlike the Joker, Bane wouldn't announce his plans. He would let them speak for themselves.

I always thought he said "hockey masks" but then I had to turn on the subtitles on the blu ray to understand what he was really saying.

Huh, I always thought he said Hockey Masks as well. Learn something new everyday.

He said, "IAM NOT WERING HROCKEY PRADNTS!"

Imagine Catwoman disguising her voice having a conversation with Batman disguising his voice. Comedy gold.

ugh, I really hope they do fix his voice for TDKR.

I honestly missed some of Bats' dialogue when I saw TDK in a theater. It looks like Gordon is gonna have a garbled voice this time as well at some point. :-( Good luck deciphering whatever he babbles about the first time seeing it.

I do hope his voice will be different, especially when he fights Bane. He should be very tired and fatiqued, in real life you wouldn't be able to disguise your voice anymore.

Yeah... this shouldn't be this big of a problem. Nolan should definitely fix it.

Now, imagine if Ken Watanabe was in the film too!
