I was away watching Transformers 3 in 3D today (it needs to be seen in 3D. Best use of it since Avatar? Yes, the rumors are true!) and I come back here seeing the Info Hunters Thread is closed... so have there been any new stuff since yesterday? And is this the new IH-thread now?

I really doubt it will be, just from her characterization, its a very different course.

Everyone keep saying opposite Arch of Harvey, which I think is nice

Harvey = Good -> Bad guy

I don't think Catwoman goes Bad Guy -> Good guy.

More like

Catwoman = Untrustworthy ---> Trust Worthy ----> Unsure.

Not that I doubt Nolan, but I hope it's handled nothing like Harry becoming Peter's ally in Spider-Man 3.

Unless Selena gets amnesia only to have retcon fropm the first film I wouldn't worry too much

I am really curious how they will open the film up . Catwoman ? Bane ? Batman being chased by cops ? So may directions they can go

Have a feeling they'll go with a Bane origin as the opening. They've already done an opening with the Joker's rise, so doing the same with Catwoman feels copycat-ish (pun semi-intended). A Bane opening sounds more epic to me.

I'd prefer a Batman opening, as a Bane flashback could feel copycat-ish in regards to Begins for me, but to each their own.

to me an action sequence (and I mean BIG) would be the best... we had an origin opening in BB, a thriller scene in TDK, time to blow things up in TDKR :applaud

I still like my idea of a combination opening.

Bane's breakout juxtaposed with an intricate Catwoman heist, and then interrupted with a Batman/Catwoman chase. And then the police interrupt THAT, allowing Catwoman to get away from Batman, and then Batman has to get away from the police(which would be very quick and easy for Batman).

It sets up all the MAJOR players in the movie, gives us an idea of their character(or in Batman's case where is character is at currently in the story), and it could be VERY thrilling and action packed.

I agree, a big action scene. My bets on the plane scene.

I like the idea of a big action scene. If they're doing a Bane origin, how does everyone think they'll fit it in if not in the beginning?

I don't want the action to peak wityhin the first 15 minutes though

I'm thinking that his origin might not completely be shown to us, but sort of told to us. Batman is trying to figure out who this guy is, and he finds a whole bunch of records on him. He discusses them with Gordon, and we find out where Bane came from through that. I'd be fine it we didn't actually see Bane training or see where he comes from, but he just comes into Gotham and we keep finding things out about him throughout the movie. That way there is still some interpretation to be made, and there isn't to much time taken on his origin story.

That's kinda how they did it in the TAS episode for Bane. I like it.

I really think we should see a Bane prison break though. It would differentiate him as a villain from Joker. Showing us his tactical mind, but also his brute strength as well. Whereas Joker's bank robbery showed us how easily Joker's mind and his mind alone could work through such a complicated heist.

IWe do knopw there will be flashbacks . My guess is it will tie into Bane's origins

I could see that. That would make Bane not as ambiguous as the Joker was, but he still has some mystery to him. I just don't want to see any training montages of Bane growing up in prison or how he got in jail. Just that he was in jail and now he's out. And his intentions for wanting to take over Gotham (or whatever his plan will be) are realized throughout the movie as we learn more and more about him.

A Bane prison break out would be excellent. Not only would it show the audience what kind of character that Bane is, it would let them know that he's a real threat to Batman. Not only physically but mentally.

I think the Bane prison break definitely has the potential for an iconic scene.

I think so as well. It could certainly work as the opening scene, but I could see the plane scene working as well. Either way, I think it's pretty safe to say that this next opening scene is going to be intense.

Jesus this movie gets more and more confusing with every other news release.

Maybe Bane will have some football player henchmen like how Mr.Freeze had hockey player henchman in B&R...

Just Kidding. :awesome: :oldrazz:

I actually like that. It will still keep everything a surprise once TDKR comes out but it hypes us more and more with each info that we learn during the shooting. :awesome:
