The Thomas Haden Church/Sandman Thread

That's what I thought. There's nothing physically threatening that Harry's arsenal could do to Sandman.
yeah but atleast
Harry gets sandman's attention.
So I guess without Harry, Peter would have never been able to have distract Sandman to get to Venom. in the novileztion it says
Harry throws a pumpkin bomb at sandman
so that is yet another reason how Harry helped peter defeat both Sandman and Venom, IMO.

But, he doesn't help defeat Sandman, because nobody defeats Sandman. He voluntarily surrenders when his family show up.

oh I know that but
he helps Spidey survive the fight is what I meant. and I really am glad they showed the sympathetic part of Sandman in the battle royal.

at first,i was unsure about the whole sandman thing but after watching that one little clip, this movie is looking more awesome than ever.

what are YOUR thoughts on THE SANDMAN?

mine...?

With the introduction of Sandman, it should’ve been about time to have a Spider-man villain who's cooler in terms of character temper. Thomas Haden Church is also known for his polished balance of sense of humor and a reputable acting career. The kind of actor that can bring to life one of the jollier villains in Spidey's world. But none of that humor is shown on screen, instead, we are given an overbrooding Sandman. Sure, he shines in some dramatic scenes, but please; they shouldn’t have made him too serious throughout the entire film! It's as if we're not already sick of Harry Osborn's and Eddie Brock's whining. Thomas Haden Church was PERFECT for Sandman, he's got the Sandman look and his talent is capable of giving an inside out adaptation of Sandman's character. Instead, Church's talents are wasted with the film's lack of focus on his character.

Sandman became disappointing when they exaggeratingly turned him into an overgrown sand giant, a seemingly bastard child of the stay-puft marshmallow man from the Ghostbusters movie & Imotep from The Mummy.

Giant Sandman was kinda of disappointing from what I saw,he moved too slow and moaned.

Yeah this is definitely not the official Sandman thread but anyways...

I think we'll be much more impressed with Sandman in his other battles (armored car, subway) than the battle royale one. The large sandman thing does seem kind of disappointing as of right now.

Socko, what's that footage in the top right of your avatar?

We already have a ****in thread.....thats been going on for months.....thats still on page 1.............

the scene where u see Sandman awake from the demoleculaiwatever thing. its so beautfiul. the music is good. and its cool cuz it starts out with the sand forming a body, than it collapses but than it comes together again.

i saw the movie yesterdy..

He was underused. All the villains were. I didn't think the movie would suffer from too much stuff packed into it, but it did.

Thomas Haden Church as Sandman /Flint Marko was prefect . He looked the part, he acted the part .
