a long time ago I started a thread asking how sandman could be defeated, and noen of us really came up with that many ways, and that old thread is gone now.

1 I thought of an idea. what if sandman grows to be so huge because he's absorbing other sand and making it become part of his body. what if spider-man tricks him into absorbing wet cement. flint assumes it's just wet sand but it's really wet cement and very quickly it becomes hard, and sandman is stuck solid unable to move whether he wanted to or not.

2 we still got the venom taking a "bite out of crime" so to speak option.

3 we still got the pumpking bomb option from harry

4 or while in non solid form sandman could become seperated from part of himself preventing him from maintaining his proper shape.

hes a criminal not an idiot

I'm still going with the whole glass theory, I think spidey will somehow get Sandman soaked in some type of flamable substance, maybe oil or gas, and harry will start him on fire, the emense heat created will turn sandman into glass.......... just imagine the scene from T2.........

have spider-man break the glass "I always figured you had a glass Jaw Flint!!!"

i can't see it going any way other than Venom biting

Well as we saw in teaser, in 2nd fight with Sandman, Black Spidey tricks him and Sandman will be defeat by the water.

But he will come back in final battle, and Spidey will finally kill him in more logical way.

I have personally mixed cement more than once, and to be honest, it looks exactly like sand when it's dry, and then when you mix it with water before it becomes solid it looks like sand mixed with water as well.

in the comic book he was never portrayed as cunning and smart. just powerful. however what I thought of to defeat him would work on most intelligent people as well.

he could have him absorb dry cement if he wanted, and then later on get em wet.

I like that idea. It gives a dramatic painful moment where he watch the demise of sandman.

I can't help but think that might lack drama.

are you kidding, Sandman & Spider-man in an intense battle, (keeping in mind spider-man is no killer) and venom lurking from the shadows leaps down jumps on sandmans back and his giant mouth takes a huge bite into sandman and doesn't let go, whilst sandman is screaming in pain, spiderman goes to save gwen/mj whos been locked close by.

I used the word might intentionally. accordign to spoilers though venom and sandman are both fighting spider-man at the same time, which is not what you described in your post. I think harry should be the one to save spider-man and we can't have two villains both deciding to go good at the same time and saving spider-man.

What about heating him up till he turns to glass? Or ya know what, for movie purposes, just have Peter some how cure him of his power. Maybe washed away at sea?

Or maybe he should just absorb all the sand he can until he's just one big land mass out in the ocean. Then have Spidey dig deep into the ocean floor under Sandman Island and then with all his strength lift it up and throw it into space!

...

Wait, sorry. Wrong Movie. :D :supes:

firstly im not reading the spoilers and my theory like yours is just my view...and 2ndly i never said venom was turning good, he bites sandman to get him out of the fight because he wants spider-man all to himself, hes got a personal vendetta against parker and doesn't want anyone else killing him

But if Venom bit him wouldn't his teeth go right through Sandman? I mean he is MADE OF SAND!

Final fight apparently takes place at a construction site - I say he gets mixed with cement.

a good way for venom to bite sandman dramatically is if sandman is suffocating spider-man. we sit there watching him suffocating for like a whole minute with no hope of escape in sight for our spidey. but then venom kicks him or punches him or somthing and then the next second he bites him. then he turns and looks at spider-man who is horribly weakened from almost suffocating unable to defend himself against Venom.

unless venom swallows some of the sand causing sandman to lose his molecular structure due to the loss.

Maybe spidey tricks sandman into punching a main water line or something, thus getting sandman soaked with a bunch of water, prehaps even mixing him with cement or something?

I wish people would give up on the Venom killed Sandman with a bite thing. It happened once. It's not like it an integral or even big part of the mythos.
It's like saying Ben Grimm is stronger than the Hulk cuz he beat him once.

yup good idea. I think it would be cool to watch sandman slowly become solid beyong his control, untill he he becomes one solid chunk of cement unalbe to even breathe.

I tihnk he's either going to spread Sandman out and kind of wear him too "thin", or use something along the water lines.
