This is the calm period before the flood of reviews.

So does it come out on Friday on the US? Don't movies usually come out on Thursdays?

Movies are released technically on Fridays. Over the years midnight showings have turned to showings after 7 pm the night before.

Yes there are 7pm and midnight showings on Thursday but they always state Friday being the day on the release.

The gap to the US release has been ridiculous this time.

Civil War was like 10 days. Thor is 10 days.

"It's crazy, colorful, and without a doubt, the funniest and most fun Marvel movie. [Full review in Spanish]"

Oh so this isn't that uncommon? I guess it feels longer as it's the first time in a while I've watched something on a weekday the day it came out as it's usually difficult with work (never thought to go before work!).

It's the 11th MCU movie to be released OS over a week before the domestic release, so nothing new there. Ten days is definitely not uncommon. For example, the first Thor movie opened in Australia 14 days before the domestic release.

Ragnarok pretty much has the standard MCU release schedule. MCU movies opening on the first weeks of April, May or November are released OS first to take advantage of holidays in those markets(every single one except Iron Man, which was released before they started doing it), while every single MCU movie - both past and upcoming ones - that aren't released in those spots are released OS and domestically in the same week.

Thanks for that. And damn, you guys better move here! ;)

"A close-but-no-cigar film, but so enjoyable for the most part, and so modest in its aims, that its disappointments aren't devastating."

"This movie is just so much fun, it's a hilarious superhero romp and nigh impossible to watch without a grin on your face."

dam 95% after well over 100 reviews impressive

It's getting in that area of 1/2 of total reviews. After another 20-30 reviews, the remaining reviews will account for 1/2 of the score. For example, if it's at 95% and the remaining are about 90%, it'll end up in the 92-93 range.

Totally agree. I was just explaining why I agreed. My wife finds this really annoying and says that when she asks me what time it is, I tell her how the clock works.

Oh I knew you were agreeing, I was just expounding on my previous point lol

Very impressive how many positive reviews keep getting added.

Nah it's not gonna happen, as bad as I want it to.
