Reactions to the Turtles is really odd on Twitter. Some are really pissed about it because it’s not another DC character.

Some are also pissed because it wasn't Spawn.

Totally unexpected! But I love it! I can't wait to see the gameplay. The renders for the turtles are fantastic. Though it makes me long for a proper TMNT game. There hasn't been a great one since TMNT IV: Turtles in Time.

I really like Enchantress' design too.

The Turtles have come to play.

DC Universe’s The Atom and Enchantress, and Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will join Injustice 2 as playable characters as part of the “Fighter Pack #3” add-on, Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm Studios announced.


Players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack, or the Injustice 2 Fighter Pack #3 will have early access to each of the new fighters before they are available individually, starting with Atom on December 12.


Injustice 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will launch for PC on November 14.

In particular, it appears the characters in the mobile version get much more thorough makeovers than their console counterparts. In gameplay moments from the trailer that specify the footage is from Injustice 2 mobile, for example, we see an Aquaman who looks pretty much exactly like Jason Momoa in the film. However, the Aquaman shown in the console portions looks pretty much exactly the same as always, just dressed in slightly different gear. A white guy with short blonde hair wearing Jason Momoa’s shirt doesn’t exactly look a whole lot like Jason Momoa.

It’s understandable that the more detailed models of the console version would need to stay untouched, especially given how the game’s gear system works. Still, the limitations apparently go even further than that. Players are reporting that on console Cyborg, only gets an arm cannon inspired by the character’s Justice League design. Though fans are finding a workaround that uses older gear parts and shaders to replicate the movie look, they’ve expressed some frustration they need to DIY his outfit at all.

Regardless, earning the Justice League goodies requires players to completing Multiverse challenges. Currently, fans can take on the first event in the Multiverse portal to earn gear for The Flash and Cyborg. The Flash, at least, gets a full collection of gear, consisting of the resilient frictionless sprinting boots, gauntlets, the armor of boundless speed, and ultimate speed force mask. Complete all five challenges, and you can give your Barry Allen the full movie makeover.

As these will be limited-time events, players should complete the Multiverse tasks as soon as possible. Once The Flash and Cyborg’s moments in the spotlight end, another member of the Justice League will take their place in the Multiverse. Outside of the Justice League, players can also anticipate the new fighters arriving in Fighter Pack 3, beginning with Atom on December 12th. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Enchantress will also be coming down the line as part of the same pack.

It's not just you. That's exactly how I thought they should've looked in the recent films too.

Anyone one else getting the wrong gear? I went through Superman's challenges and only got Ceremonial Tegime gear. Also is there any significant changes to Wonder Woman's costume in JL as her challenges just award the same costume they had for her solo movie.

I didn’t bother with WW cause I figured it was the same. Didn’t bother with Cyborg either cause his movie costume doesn’t interest me but everyone else I got the right gear for.

Yeah. I read up on it. Turns out Supes only has his crest and Cyborg only has his cannon and Aquaman doesn't have Mamoa's head, only his armour (no great loss for Aquaman imo). Though I did notice that Aquaman's armour only comes in gold or silver regardless of shader settings. No movie colours I'm afraid. A mixed bag, much like the film. lol

One of the few times the mobile version has the advantage. The movie versions are full-fledged characters that actually resemble the ones from the movie.
