Would it seem like too much of dark knight rip off to call a movie:
"The web slinger"

Nah, The Dark Knight inspires greatness and darkness in the movie
That names inspires a camp and childish story

The Amazing Spiderman would definitely be the smartest choice
If only the producers would watch these threads....

Spider-Man: With Great Power
I don't know, the title feels good considering the mini that has the suit this one is based on, if that's done then the sequel should definitely be titled The Amazing Spider-Man

spider-man begins - first movies
the amazing spider-man - second movie
the amazing spider-man rises - third in last movie

I still say it will be named Ultimate Spider-Man... but I think it should be named either the Web of Spider-Man, because of the potential of setting up villains in a web of future adventures, or Spider-Man: Origins, given the potential of this film touching on his childhood and parents, his origins and death of Uncle Ben, and his life and friends from HS that helped shaped his character.

I like that! Maybe the sequel could be called Spider-Man: Great Responsibility
Nah, that doesn't sound as good as I thought. :p

Still waiting for this. Wonder if they'll use any comic book titles

The porn version reboot is already in development. It will be called:

Spider-Man: Amazing Fantasy

With Great Power

simply because of what ive seen so far is from that storyline

How about the Dark Web-slinger?

"The _______ Spider-Man" would be appropriate.

Substitute "Amazing" or "Spectacular" and you have a winner in my books. Anything else wouldn't work as well IMO.

...Unless they decide to call it "Spider-Man 3D"... (crosses fingers)

Hope you're wrong on that. "Ultimate Spider-Man" doesn't sound like a movie. It makes sense for a monthly comic, to distinguish the book as being part of a particular publishing line. As a movie, though, "Ultimate" sounds more like a commentary on the quality of the film itself.

Still favor Amazing, Spectacular, or Web Of, but not opposed to the recent suggestion of "Spider-Man: With Great Power."

I wouldn't find it overly camp or childish. Webslinger to me inspires danger and adventure. It makes me think 'gun slinger' which takes me back to movies based on the old west. Bar brawls, gun fights, chases... but with webs.

"I'm the sheriff 'round these parts" just came to mind.
