never seen it in my life. I really like it though, maguires showing real intensity for the first time. Picture this manippers, the symbiote reaching to grab parker from below

I actually never saw that picture befor so I think it's a rare picture. it's a cool picture though.

Topher grace would of been a far suitable parker

He would have. He would have captured all renditions of Parker that we've been given in the books. Topher has far greater charisma than Maguire and spidey is a charismatic figure. I agree that Tmags isn't the worst choice but he's far from the best. I actually hope he realy impresses me in sm3 and so far from the clips we've seen he has, I just want to see him do more than what he's done so far.

He's just always got a pained/solemn look on his face, the parker I knew always put on a front through wit and courage to hide his pain

Well sam had topher reserved for a villain, a great famoust villain played by a great actor. Tobey fits for being a poor high school student skinny not popular. No offence to Tobey Maguire thats what he exacxtly looks like. And also forgot he has to look like a geek , i think tobey does an ecellent job as acting as peter and spiderman.

I have never seen this picture befor. it's when spidey1 was out or was coming out.

I think that at the time, Tmags (I love that, btw) was more of an experienced and well-known, and therefore bankable, actor than Topher Grace. He was pretty well respected by the critics already, and his credits extended beyond....you know, That '70s Show.

I know it's sad, but this is an expensive Hollywood franchise, and the "best" actor doesn't always get the part.

Let it go already, Topher is Eddie Brock/Venom forever now, and will never be Parker. Crying like a bunch of little b:tches won't change that.

Sorry dude, your the only one who sounds like their crying, we're merely discussing who a better parker would be, on a discussion board no less,

good game

Not quite. Sam didn't reserve Topher at all, hell, Sam didn't even plan for venom to be in any of the movies. The studio wanted venom so Raimi had to include him and of course look for an actor, enter Grace.

As for Tmags, I think he plays the pre-bitten PP very well, he captured the shy, nerdy, social outcast persona quite well but thats not what defines PP/spider-man. PP as himself is a more confident person, he's sociable and isn't shy like he used to be. In fact, that whole shy business didn't even last long, Stan Lee ended all of that quite early but the movies dont want to move away from that particular lamb-like character, its actually quite annoying.
