The Toys thread

have they done a black cat yet ?

and what scale are these figures in ?

What I'm more curious about is how well the toys have sold. Is there any info about that available online? Where could we look?

These figures are inbetween the 5" and 6" scales. The Spiderman figures are 5.5". And no, Hasbro hasn't made a Black Cat but I am actually working on a custom Black Cat right now :yay:

I don't think Hasbro releases that info online. I assume that this line must be doing pretty well because it has been around for about three years now. We will see if this line continues past the waves out now at Toyfair in February.

Toy Fair is coming up. Anyone hoping we see anything new? I know I am. Am I expecting anything new? Who knows, but I hear the line is selling.

So far, I have every figure except the new Doc Ock. Well, not every figure... since I already own the original Green Goblin, Sandman, and Lizard... I see no reason to buy those weird repaints. Electro-Blast Spidey is good enough for me also.

Are there any figures in particular that you're hoping to see?

I'd love a Tombstone, but since he's a "guy in a suit" I'm not expecting one. A shame since he plays such a pivotal role in the series.

Likewise, I'd actually love figures of the "civilians" in this series, but we've got a better chance at a third season being commissioned.

So, considering what I can realistically hope for:

Black Cat: While not a hero, it'd be nice for Spidey to have a little backup against all the villains we've got.

Mysterio: Love his design, and I'd love it if he came packaged with one of his little Homunculi. Actually, I might buy more than one... both so I can have an extra Homunculi and a Mysterio-bot.

Silver Sable: Hey, she was pretty badass. But considering that "female figures" are believed to sell less, I wouldn't expect her, and I'd rather have Black Cat if I had to choose.

Kraven the Hunter: He'd be a lot of fun. I'd expect his mutated form though, since that is better suited for an action figure by their logic.

Molten Man: Well, I'm less interested in him than the rest. But, sadly he's got a better chance than Tombstone, Hammerhead and Silver Sable.

Hey Sarcastic Fan, love the predictions you have. All of your reasoning seems to be spot on. I think that this line sells relatively well and Hasbro *may* show more waves of figures. I am only skeptical because they are really trying to move away from 6" lines. The 6" Spiderman Classics line just got replaced with the 4" one, all future movie lines are going to be 4", and Marvel Legends will only get six 6" figures per year.

I think that if Hasbro shows more waves of figures, I bet one will be have Mysterio, some new Spideys, and some repacks of past villans, and another will have Kraven (like you said, most likely mutated), some Spideys, and a few repacks.

TOmbstone, Mysterio, SIlver Sable, Hammerhead, Molten Man, Tinkerer (yes, you heard me), Black Cat, and Kraven.

yea if the toys are still selling well i would think/hope that is another sign to marvel/disney that there is still a market out there for TSSM and fans want to see more which i hope is more seasons.

And my collection is complete.

1. Electro-Blast Spider-Man
2. Black Costume Spider-Man
3. Green Goblin
4. The Lizard
5. Dr. Octopus (Spider-Charged i.e. the good one with the trenchcoat)
6. Electro
7. Sandman
8. Vulture
9. Shocker
10. Rhino
11. Venom (Spider-Charged i.e. the one that is closest to the show)

So, there we are. I have no interest in the weird, non-show accurate repaints.

Now, let's hope the collection isn't complete for long. Bring on Mysterio, Kraven, Black Cat, and (please!) Tombstone!

lucky SarcasticFan! I am still missing the Spider Charged Doc Ock. I finally found one not too expensive online and after I opened it up, I noticed he only had 3 tentacles!

So my search continues....

Now I am hoping to use him (or parts of him) for a custom. Any ideas who I could make?

thats cool guys, i stopped collecting toys years ago myself.

MAJOR Bummer from Toy Fair...It looks like the Spectacular Spiderman line might be over. No figures on display at all! Hasbro didn't even mention them in the press release or in the slide show presentation.

And to top it all off, the Wisecracking 10" Spidey that was once a part of the Spectacular line has undergone a head transplant and is now a part of the normal Spidey line.

The Ooze Playsets had the figures replaced and also aren't a part of the Spectacular Spiderman line anymore:

booo! Hasbro c'mon!

oh well that sucks. but it doesnt mean really the end. maybe hasbro only had a select time to be making toys based off the show and then contract over. so maybe if the show does come back new lines will be produce. i am just saying what could be.

Hopefully this is the case. I know it takes about 10 months to produce frigures once the prototype is sculpted so I guess Hasbro could be holding back on some figures that are not going to be released unitl later in the year. I need a Mysterio and Kraven!

yea i am sure there is probably going to be more toys released from the show's line. They probably are jsut not producing more after those toys that havent come out already. Then like i said maybe since the show has been out of production for a yr now the toy company just doesnt have the rights to produce new lines to the status of the show is know. Even if the toys end doesnt mean the show is gone.

I was also pissed when i saw those half-a$$ed comic style toys that were remakes of TSSM toys..
