I think even Bulma with all blue/green/purple/whatever colored hair could've been done. Heck, a few month back I saw a girl on the streets with green colored hair like Bulma's and it looked great. We know Bulma is a bit eccentric. Coloring her hair and just saying she likes to dye would've been fine.

Yes, my fellow critics and I have stopped to think about why the changes were made, and we can't for the life of us come up with even one good justification for most of the differences seen so far. This is why we're critics.

and how exactly do you know that??? we know db is a fantastical universe, but there´s a lot of fantastical stuff that can be left out and it would probably feel like dragonball

Why do so many things have to left out in the first place? Dragonball is a heavy fantasy and science-fiction filled franchise. That's like making a Harry Potter movie and for no reason leaving out half of the magic stuff. Little things like the pictures talking, etc.

Btw. Have we confirmation on whether or not the Capsule technology made it into the movie? Or are solar cars all we're going to get?

Why do so many things have to left out in the first place?

because Fox is a deeply corrupt company who's sole inspiration is keeping the weak and dumb the way they are while they reap the rewards of money and power. if they made ice cream, they would want to be paid the full price of a banana split even though they would only give you a scoop of ice cream with a sprinkle of chocolate syrup.

seriously though, they left those things out because 1) Fox rushed the film into production 2) i doubt James Wong has the talent or imagination to make things like blue hair work anyway.

no one has heard anything about capsule corps. it's most likely that was left out of the movie as well.

it doesn´t have to be left out. its just the way they want to make it, probably because they think it will sell more this way(and so do i)

i think they could make a great movie keeping the fantastical stuff, but im not sure it would sell as much, i wouldn´t know, but look at speed racer

i used to bring up Speed Racer before, but this is exactly why i don't bring it up anymore. people keep saying that Speed Racer is a prime example of why they shouldn't stick as close to the anime as they possibly can, but what they don't realize is that Speed Racer is one of the most stylized movies to EVER be made. there are PLENTY of other movies that are just as or even MORE faithful than Speed Racer but were successful at the box office. Speed Racer didn't do well because the visuals were too wild and all over the place and it opened on a Mother's Day weekend that happened to be Iron Man's 2nd weekend. being faithful to the source material wasn't the reason why Speed Racer flopped.

I've said this a few times before, but no one seems to be picking it up: If you read the reviews, the fantastical aspects of Speed Racer aren't really the reason for people disliking the film; the main complaint is the poor script.

and yeah, bulma would probably look out of context with all blue hair, not less realistic or whatever, just out of place. maybe not, but probably yes. have you ever stopped to think why they are doing these changes?? think about it for a second, there might be a reason for them
