I said it before USM vol 1 was rebooted, Lafuente will drive readers away. Seems to be Quesada's motto IF IT AINT BROKE #$@% WITH IT TILL IT IS. That being said I won't be leaving the book just because the art is'nt to my liking, it will be changed soon , I'm sure of it.

Bendis' motto in this case, then. Remember, he is the one who wanted Lafuente onboard, Marvel just went with it. And I think Lafuente is there to last.

I wonder how far the hate for one man can go that people starts putting every thing they dislike on his shoulders...

It's my understanding that Quesada has the clout in matters of art and story, ( One more day anyone ?), but if it was Bendis I respectfully apologize...........Quesadas a @#$%$bag.

Well, as far as I'm concerned (not really far, I suppose) Quesada has only done good things... so yeah, I disagree with you.

I remember reading an interview with Bendis that stated he likes Lafuente's style, and thinks people will just get used to it. He compared it with fans not liking the art of his other book Powers (I haven't checked this book out) and now they can't picture any other artist on the book.

He said he likes Lafuente's art, put him on an annual as a way to see if he would fit the title and then took him full time for the relaunch. For Powers, I think it's more the editors and the like who were afraid of the contrast between the darkness of the story and the cartoony art... the fans weren't really shown any other style for that book!

And I know Bendis made fun of the people who dislikes Lafuente by saying on his twitter "Round-head Spidey rules!" t:

I personally like his style. I loved how animated Peter and MJ's conversations were in the annual. Bagley's still my favorite, but I enjoyed Lafuente's style and wouldn't mind it one bit if he stayed around for a long time.

Has ultimate been canceled? My comic store is holding like 8 months worth of spidey comics for me and I'm dreading that ultimate, my fav title, has been canceled.....

More like Kitty or Reed. They're the only two ones I can think of who have the kind of powers that fit the Shroud's ones.

Well, the usual : super-strength, ability to withstand bullets and a very hard skin or armor (the last thing makes me doubt it could be Reed...).

Well i think the shroud is kitty pryde. for one thing, The bullets seem to pass through it. Also, mj even said it herself, shroud sounded like her age and seemed to be going her school. also, shroud's final secrets will be revealed in issue six, which is when mysterio sends a spider slayer to pete's school.

Mysterio is quit the villain by the way. he is really a good way to start the series.

yea its taking time to get used to this new art style bagley was my fav for ultimate. As for the new direction so far i like it. Interesting move with mysterio, cant wait to see more of him. Then whats up with this shroud character. Also i was just reading ultimate comics avengers #3 and i was wondering who the heck is that strange spider-man locked up at Their base. Any clue who that is?

Some say he is a clone of Peter or the true Peter, and that the Peter in UCSM is a clone. Personnaly, I think those theories are bulls***.

Some say he could be Deadpool. I would like it. Deadpool in Ultimate Spider-Man seemed to have shifted his hatred from the mutants to Spidey. He could have taken the banter to a whole new black level and developped a kind of madness different than the one of 616 Deadpool.

I like it, except for Gwen. There are times where she just looks... ugly. Man, she was really attractive back in Bagley's days. Heck, even Immonen managed to make her pretty, even prettier than MJ. Well, actually I thought his Ultimate Gwen was the only one who really looked like a girl.
