Character You Would Like To Play: William "Bill" Batson, also known as Captain Marvel, the champion of Shazam!

Basic History Of The Character:

As a young street orphan, Billy Batson was met by a wizard by the name of Shazam. Following him into the subway into his home, The wizard claimed he was the chosen one to fight for justice. And by uttering the word 'Shazam' it grants him the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury, all via a magical lightingbolt. Upon uttering the word again, he transforms back into his original form. The wizard died from a boulder after bestowing him with this power, so Billy vowed to fight for all that is good in the world.

As Captain Marvel, he achieved a great many superhuman feats and performed countless good deeds. However, he made the ultimate sacrifice to save the world from the Shade - and now remains locked in an eternal silence, still and motionless...fortunately for him, though, Fate is not yet done with him.

Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. A fresh, new dynamic is brought to the character with the idea of an aged, worn hero hidden away in the background. It completely conflicts the way he died in the spotlight; once he returns, which version of himself will he return to?

2. He's currently, essentially, dead. As is the wizard Shazam. And the Shade. Let's just say death isn't always the end for character like these...hinthintnudgenudge.

3. He's got great ties to some other heroes; especially MYST3K's Atom and my own J'onn. Good ties = good potential storytelling.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you 'utlimizing' him or her?): I plan on emphasising the magical, arcane side of his nature as a hero. As well as bringing him back from the dead, obviously.

He however has developed a tiny distrust of humans (he still protects them though) when he took notice of how much they neglect undersea life.

Six years ago I discovered my Atlantean powers from a man named McCaffery. He told me about a king that happened to be my father, my mother who died when I was a baby, and a kingdom in need of a new ruler. When he told me this, I didn't know who I was. I now know.

I am now King Orin of Atlantis. Protector of the seven seas. I am also Arthur Curry, or Aquaman as the humans I also vowed to protect have called me.

However, my people would not approve of my expiditions in the 'surface-world' as they called it. Some have already tried to overthrow me, but they failed. And as long as I have my abilities of strength and communication with the creatures of the deep, I shall forever do my best to protect both worlds.

Right now I stay afloat in the ocean near Mercy Reef, my surface home, sitting in the calm waters. That was until I heard the thoughts of some undresea creatures saying things about a bridge collapsing a few miles down the coastline. I could get there in minutes.

"I'm coming."

And I swam off.

Well, if DC:NA ends up dying cause of how dead it has been lately...then I could substitute it for UDC Aquaman so I'm not doing too many Aqua-stories at once.

So if need be, I may be the only hope to break the curse. We'll see how Blacklight does.

I didn't know how much exactly KK was going to ultimize that Phantom Zone, but you're right; it doesn't matter much. Kandor is still the same, though.

Since you're writing a lot into Krypton's backstory, I oughta let you know a couple of things that have already been established while I was playing Brainiac. It's not much major; I kept things purposely vague so someone else (in this case, you) could fill in the details.

When Brainiac arrived on Krypton, he infiltrated the culture with his influence, manipulating the Kryptonians to suit his own purposes. A bit like the way it was in the Superman Animated Series. During the political unrest before the planet's destruction, Brainiac took advantage of the situation by stealing Kandor through a time-space rift, and framing Zod for its apparent destruction. Before suspicions could be raised, Brainiac fled the planet, basically further incriminating Zod.

Not sure what you've got planned, but I'm hoping you can still work that in somewhere, since I put a lot of work into Brainiac's story.

Ah ok, This actually works well with what I had planned, since I wanted Zod to not be guilty for the crime he committed for Irony's shake.

By the way, was Brainiac the sort of living computer that controlled Krypton like in TAS, or was he just an alien A.I. visitor who wanted to destroy Krypton?

Ult. Brainiac was an AI program from Colu, which after a long and convoluted backstory was rendered lifeless. So Brainiac just kinda sat there for about ten million years until he caught signal from an experimental Kryptonian deep-space probe, which allowed him to beam his way to Krypton.

Thing is, he laid low for decades, subliminally manipulating Kryptonian scientists to advance their technology to the point where they could "invent" Brainiac. So the Kryptonians had no idea that he was an alien.

His ultimate goal was to 'upgrade' all life in the universe, by one means or another. He tried to create a utopian society on Krypton, but Jor-El stood in his way, so he manipulated events to set Jor-El and Zod against each other. Unfortunately, since the planet was going to blow up before he could finish the upgrade of Krypton, he took Kandor as a population sample --sort of a backup disc for the entire race-- and fled, after which he eventually wound up on Earth, turned a million people into OMACs, then exploded.

In his mind, he was making their world a better place, when in reality, he was enslaving them without them even knowing it.
