I've been wanting to watch the prequel to The Thing, is it any good?

I recently watched the one from the 80 with Russell and I really didn't enjoy it. Not sure why it's so highly praised. I'll still check this prequel out though.

Wow, really? I don't think I've ever known anyone who didn't like Carpenter's film. Maybe some who didn't think it was as good as most, but everyone I've ever talked to liked it to some degree.

It was just boring. The alien was creepy enough, I just didn't care what happened to any of the characters.

Fog and rain are pretty cool too. I love walking in the rain and fog makes me feel like I'm in Silent Hill
