I am sore and exhausted.

First week of beach handball, played mens and mixed. Was there for almost 4 hours.

how do you play handball on a beach? don't you need floor to bounce the ball off of?

in random sports news....roller derby season is coming to a close....last bout is this coming Saturday and tryouts the weekend after that

Modified rules, because of the sand you can only dribble once. It's more of a bail out option or to gain a quick extra 3 metres.

There's generally a lot more passing than dribbling. I had a head clash with some other guy though coming out as a goalie trying to get out on a fast break where he thought I lost control of the ball when I was just dribbling.

I will not be going to the venue two hours early, setting up the screen and getting the paperwork together, I will not be checking rosters and making sure there are no last minute changes, nor will I be teaching the new rookies how to do non skating official positions

I won't be doing any of that....I will be home making sure my socks are organized

I know I'm late in talking about the Star Trek stuff, but does anyone else want to see a new show since Trek is popular again. I know it's not going to happen or anything, since I'm guessing Paramount is investing in the franchise's future via movies, but I'd love to see a new adventure show from the series. I feel like Star Trek is fitted to that better than films.

Anyway, anyone else a fan of '60s British spy shows? Obviously, I'm a big fan of The Prisoner, but I finally got around to buying McGoohan's other spy show from that era, Secret Agent/Danger Man. It's been pretty good so far. Not quite as striking or visceral as The Prisoner, but it feels very modern despite its age. I'm about to finish up the half hour series and move into the hour-long episodes.

They are if you know what you want in a PC. I got everything I wanted in a PC (besides a high quality graphics card...which I dont really need now) for under $1,000.

Today in one of my classes, this guy went on a rant about how he thinks all genres of music suck except for classical, and he talked about how he thinks that anyone who listens to anything else is stupid. I'm usually respectful of the opinions of others, but I seriously wanted to punch this guy for being an obnoxious idiot.
